Fellas, the woman behind it all 🤣

THE BBC launched an urgent probe last night after a new Line of Duty character and key plot twist were accidentally revealed.

A gaffe by bungling staff at BBC Maestro, which sells online screenwriting courses, revealed the identity of a major celebrity appearing in Sunday’s episode.

@officially2020 can you edit to pop that in a spoiler box please to prevent anyone else seeing it

edited to say I reported the post and a mod has put a spoiler box on - thank you so much!! I really don’t mean to be petty about it but many of us don’t want to see any potential spoilers before Sunday & have asked many times for the spoiler boxes to be used. Thank you again for adding the box x

The shoot out scene on Sunday was superb but why did the convoy actually really take place at all? Are we supposed to believe that AC12 organised a whole, dramatic and urgent convoy out of prison just so Bakewell would believe the ruse that they had secured him a place in witness protection yet he saw straight through it?
Surely they should have known that in the first instance? so are we supposed to think someone in AC12 wanted the exact outcome that we ended up with? (i.e. Bakewell dead)?
Sorry if this sounds dim but I think it's easy to watch scenes unfold that are well filmed and then sometimes afterwards you can think 'but why were they doing all of that in the first place?'.

I’m re-watching episode 4 - did anyone else feel a teeny bit sorry for Buckells when he admitted “I don’t know why I don’t know”

He’s not corrupt, just incompetent.
I feel sorry for Buckells as well, he seems incompetent and a bit of a prick at times but I don’t think he’s hugely involved, maybe just turned a blind eye to things or enabled things to happen over the years. Just look at him trying to pour a cup of tea knowing what was around the corner 🤣

I don’t think getting him into witness protection & finding out what he knew was a ruse?

didn't Bakewell say that he knew it would take more time and likely even the Home Sec to approve witness protection that quickly when he glanced at the paperwork so knew it was fake?

I thought he was saying more like ‘you’ll never get it approved’ as in it wasn’t secure yet? I might have to rewatch. I didn’t notice or think at the time they were tricking him?

I thought the same at the time, just that they were promising him something but it hadn’t actually been finalised yet. I assume Bakewell would know more than the average person just because of his background so he’d probably know it wasn’t secure yet. I may have to rewatch again though... it’ll only be the fourth time 🤣🤣

Well I woke up to this alert on my phone . This states an episode 6 spoiler and not 5 . I really don’t want anything spoilt for me . Kind of scared to accidentally come across it . Maybe it’s just clickbait !

@MellowDee please can you put that in a spoiler alert box! Also if you don’t want anything spoiled more, please don’t click it - it won’t give you anything definite (as far as I know) but will give you an idea of possibilities. From what I’ve (accidentally 🙄) seen, I wouldn’t risk it.

He certainly let Roz Huntley trample all over him in Series 4.

sorry new to tattle I didn’t know how to do the spoiler button !

That says series 6, not episode.
Yes I realised my error once my migraine wore off . I can see properly now 🤣

I might have to go for a second rewatch! I just think they’re cleverer surely than to try and trick a solicitor with a legal document? I dunno.
