Wasn’t it farida’s house that was being searched?
I think AC12 suggested they were going to search Jo’s house first, then she advised they search the homes of everyone else who knew about the possible Vella suspect, she listed them all, I’ve probably forgotten someone so don’t quote me but there was the CHIS handler, Farida, Aldi Dot, Buckells and potentially a couple of others. They found the burner phones at Farida’s address though

Yes I think they searched all the houses and as a throwaway comment said they had searched Jo's house but nothing mentioned about the locks so I think they searched a different residence of hers

Yes I agree! I think they must have searched another house (or flat or whatever), otherwise it’s odd to have not mentioned the locks isn’t it!

I did wonder why the locks weren’t mentioned but I’ve only watched the episode once so far (I know, shocking 🤣 no bloody time with the kids at home!) so wanted to go back and make sure they actually did say they searched it. So I think your theory could make sense that it’s some sort of second house 🤔
It was Farida's home, where Jo had been staying, that was searched. When they split up and Jo left, presumably to return to her own home, we saw her deciding not to return the key to Farida. This makes us suspect that Jo planted the burner phones which were found in the second search. The police had no reason to search Jo's home.

You've got that wrong. The police didn't even know Jo had any connection to Farida's house until she told them in the interview.

I don't know when we would have seen them bring up the locks because when they interviewed Jo the search of her house hadn't been done, and after the searches it was all burner phone focused. Probably not inconceivable for them to think a single female detective living alone and dealing with the sort of crimes she does would take serious safety precautions either.

Yeah I was under the impression they only searched Farida’s because Jo had mentioned searching all their houses? Like you said, they didn’t know Jo lived there under Farida told them when she was interviewed.

You could be right about the lock thing I suppose, I can’t decide what to make of it, I keep reading different things and don’t know if I’m looking too much into it 🤣

Exactly. They said to Jo that they were going to search her house, she said they should search everyone's house, they found the phones in Farida's, she said Jo had planted them, they asked how Jo would have done that and Farida told them about Jo staying there.

I wasn't meaning I think the locks are nothing, they're obviously there for a bigger reason. I was just thinking about how Jo could explain them if she was asked and how it might not seem all that strange to anyone until more stuff comes to light which gives them more perspective.

I think that they searched Jo’s and also searched the rest of the teams but the phones were found at Farida’s. I don’t think they would neglect to search Jo’s just because they found burners at Farida’s as they suspect Jo as dodgy. Farida disclosed that jo has been living there but Jo has denied any relationship. Thoughts he doesn’t seem to have been interviewed formally again about the counter allegations which seems odd and a bit lax. Although they’ve ordered the wider forensic search on Farida’s address to look at other fingerprints / DNA profiles. So if they’re currently lacking any firm evidence on Jo to take her in for interview again, then maybe her fingerprints / DNA at Farida’s would
Add substance to Farida’s claim and justify further investigation

I just feel like it’s enough of a stretch that Dot had the wherewithal to indicate 4 H’s with his dying breath, if it’s actually the station then how does that fit in? It doesn’t get us to who is calling the shots. Just my opinion!
I still don’t even get how Steve came to the conclusion that Dot meant there was a 4th H using morse code?! It’s always baffled me 😂

Ah I think it’s my dodgy wording, I meant “only” as in the only reason they searched Farida’s was basically because Jo told them to, not that the only house they searched was Farida’s - if that makes sense! Hopefully they’ll find more anyway...
