I used to follow lily in like 2014 and honestly forgot she existed untill her god awful tiktoks came onto my FYP but honestly * what the (and i cant stress this enough) fuckk * how is she influencing anyone and HOW is she still earning a sustainable amount of money to do naff all - I'm sure Rich is well paid but to afford his wife to do nothing but flounce around London all day AND support their 2 kids?

She’s mentioned a couple times she prefers raising kids in the city to the country. I think she’s trying to convey that only a well-adjusted, cultured, city kid could handle the sights and sounds of a city. Poor country kids! Just lily having stupid ideas and poor communication skills.

But she’s still a marketing genius.

He started working part time. She claims to be 'working full time in part time hours'......

Full time begging!

Also on her comment with Grey: we live in the countryside and my little girl is quite shy. However when we get to a city she bloody loves just watching people and is very chilled and happy watching the world go by, it's really not that uncommon! In fact I don't know of any of her friends that freak out in busy places, it's really not a special London-child thing, sorry to break it to you Lily!

First world problems… which expensive pillowcase is the best. I’ve never heard someone make buying pillowcases a drama.

How is she confused by this?! Thread count is literally what it says on the tin, and is she suggesting she doesn't understand the words "crisp" "fresh" "soft" and "silky"? Because, marketing-genius-Pebbles, those are just marketing terms for the feel of the pillowcase, it's nothing more complicated than that! Jeez.

“She’s all too aware of all the downsides of raising kids in London” Yeah, is that because of their small rented flat since they’ve been priced out from buying but need to stay in the city because of their jobs? Or is the lack of outdoor space because they don’t have a garden? Or maybe the rush hour tube struggle? Or the closest family member being hours away? Or the problems of getting the kids into a good school since private is absolutely out of budget? Shall I continue? How is she aware???

I know, right? It’s almost like she was raised in the *gasp* country or something! How does a civilized London mum of two not know a thing about thread count? Oh right…nobody told her!

Because sometimes when you go out for a run you can make a turn into a bad neighborhood.

She panicked??? Panicked???

When I want to get a new duvet set, I go to Asda or Sainsbury's and find a pattern I like and buy that.

I almost feel sad for her that she feels the need to keep up with appearances like this.

Not Lily per se, but saw the above example for the first time. Subscription on instagram (I must be late to the party). I wonder if this business model will be more widespread and if people would actually pay to see their fave influencers

This is my take on these subscription models - perhaps initially they might get a good chunk of their followers to pay for extra content, but if the content is lackluster or doesn’t provide anything unique or service-based (like styling appointments) then no one will be getting their money’s worth. Lily can’t even make good weekly content that’s free to watch, how’s she going to manage creating extra stuff that’s worth paying for?!

I’ve gotten rid of a number of Patreon subscriptions because I just wasn’t getting any value out of the additional content, and a lot of times there’d be months without content at all. For someone with nearly 500k subscribers, she should NEED to use a subscription based method because she’s already got followers that she would be benefiting from (though we all know engagement has plummeted). I see the subscriptions working well for smaller influencers, without a ton of followers, but who are extremely passionate about the content they’re already putting out and are willing to provide additional content/services for a fee.
