I’ve been thinking about this and how Liam tragically passed away. I’m an A&E nurse, and have seen a fair few falls/jumps. What strikes me is the report of his head injury. Generally if you jump you will have facial injuries. it sounds like he was taken to his hotel room and left inside. Perhaps they were holding the handle of the door or he assumed they’d locked it and He panicked as he knew they’d called the police. Obviously not of sound mind due to what he had taken, I think he’s climbed over the balcony to drop to the one below to escape. And has happened to fall backwards. It feels really wrong even thinking about this let alone talking about it, but in human nature we are inquisitive. And it’s just a thought I had. Regardless he was a very loved man, who’s little boy more than likely thought the world of him. Who’ll also grow up to be able to google his dad, which is sad May Liam rest in peace xx
Yes i dont believe it was suicide at all, would have been easier to overdose in the room if that was the case. He obviously loved his family very much and doubt he would purposely inflict such a violent death on them as jumping from a 45 ft balcony. No i agree with you, either was sitting on the balcony and fell back, or more likely, grabbed his bag and thought he could manage the climb down but unfortunately fell to an immediate deathI’ve been thinking about this and how Liam tragically passed away. Think it'll probably close after the funeral as people wont have anything to 'discuss' after then....gosh its so sadI think one of the reasons the thread should remain open is because it is allowing discussion of difficult topics regarding addiction. It’s opened my eyes.
Same, its like when robin williams died, a man acting happy in front of the world and to his fans but suffering so much inside and died alone and sad. HeartbreakingI wasn’t a massive one direction fan, like their songs and the songs they have done solo but since the news broke I have just felt so sad. I feel a bit silly for feeling as sad as I do. Perhaps it’s because I have a son, I don’t know but it’s all just so heartbreaking and can’t stop thinking of his family and little boy
Second this haven’t been able to get my mind off it since the news broke it’s unbelievablely tragic 31 is no age, it’s also upsetting that the online jokes against him have been relentless recently and it’s sad that’s all he had been seeing before he passed this whole thing has upset so many of us for many reasons it’s such a heartbreaking lossI just feel really, really sad. I can’t get past it. I’m not usually so bothered by celeb deaths, but this just feels so, tragic. A sad life with a sad end. I wish he could have a do-over, I know it’s ridiculous but this just feels like a horrible, needless accident
If he’d fallen onto concrete, the injuries would have been so traumatic that he would have had to be identified by tattoos. Looking at the image of his legs- his jeans have a dark stain around the lower leg and maybe suffered an open fracture of the left leg. Post mortem indicates a lot of internal bleeding - so ….??? Rib/spinal fractures. I’m glad he was out of it before he passed awayIt's crazy seeing how far he fell and then seeing how "neatly" he landed, for want of a better term. As a pp said, no facial injuries. He was just laid on his back like he'd slipped on ice. Apart from the obvious evidence of the head injury, it's not what you'd expect from someone who'd jumped from such a height. I suppose that just gives hope that it was relatively pain free.
