His colleague David Lammy has not helped. Firstlly by being interviewed by Nick Ferrari reminding everyone that even Labour see him and not James as the main man.

But the Lamster as ever seems confused

Lamster is a prat. I don't trust him at all, kinda gives me the same vibes as Ainsley Hariot ... very much 'light ent' as Steve Allen would say.

I did tune in again to O'Brien, it lasted 3 seconds: "I've always liked Fearne Cotton". Turn off.

I heard James O'brien referring back to WW2 today. I thought that was irrelevant and people harking back to the war were stupid gammons? 🤷‍♀️ Obviously not today because James thinks it's relevant.

I was also a bit surpised when a woman of 61 said that the war was only 17 years before she was born and James said something about 'but it seemed like it was longer ' or something. No James, as the caller pointed out, it was still very fresh in the minds of people then. Many had served or lost people. Houses destroyed and not rebuilt. Rationing had not long finished.

Lammy getting hammered by Ferrari this morning ... He said yesterday that trades-persons could use the underground to get to work, so some poor reporter is at a tube station with a ladder, tools, and bucket etc. to attempt it. Lammy needs to be ridiculed, he's clueless and loving the poitical gravy-train.

I've just been watching the clip of Henry trying to get on the tube (and failing) with his tools.

I saw a guy on the tube the other day carrying two large bags with decorating tools in them. I thought then what an absolute pain it looked. Never even thought about ULEZ. I'd hate to be a trades person in London.

"What difference will these fast, powerful, modern Tanks make to Ukraine?"....asks O'brien

I’m on the tube quite a bit and have not seen much of this, there’s not the room for starters, anyone taking the tube knows that.
Know what you mean about taking your trade into the capital, the upshot is they drive in in their vans in and pass on congestion charge/other charges and parking fees to their customer, I usually arrange for them to come bright and early before charges come into force, if it means work they’re usually agreeable. The other day I was amazed to hear a gardener saying he was giving up his trade because of having to up his charges because of ULEZ, last of the nice guys 🤔

I honestly don't understand why anyone hate listens to o Brian and others? I've heard enough here about LBC presenters to know who I'd like or not like, not having a go but it just makes more sense to me to listen to programmes you enjoy.

100% agree.

For years I never listened to Ferrari because he just wound me up so much but he doesn't irritate me as much these days so I tune in occasionally.
I also have a love/hate relationship with James. I find him quite a stimulating listen. He annoys me and interests me at the same time. 🤪

I only listen to Nick Abbot ( and occasionally Clive Bull) at the weekend because I find all the weekend presenters very tedious and sanctimonious.

There's so many options out there, you don't have to listen to stuff you don't like. As Nick Abbot says 'there is an off button'.

I listen to both LBC and Talk Radio and they kind of mirror each other with the hourly topics. I am now at the stage of finding it all very depressing, its all doom and gloom the state of the Country, the horrific crime stories, the Tory corruption, shocking transgender stories, shocking immigrant stories, cost of living crisis etc. There is a new shock story every day and they all air it to death with view from both sides of the spectrum. I think I am going to have to start listening to music instead.

I sometimes take time out from LBC because it just gets too heavy at times. Sometimes a bit of music is just what the doctor ordered. I go between Serenade/Boom/Boom lite and a bit of Ken Bruce.

There's only so much misery and anger a person can process. There's enough of that in my everyday life, I don't have to take other peoples on board too which is what can happen with speech radio.
