James O'Brian was behaving like a school boy today when discussing Steve Bray. Laughing at his antics.
I think the police were right. Everyone has the right to protest but not for years on end and preventing people going about their business.
She is an abysmal broadcaster. I listened for a bit when she first arrived. Never again!Natasha Devon last night was a prime example, she even used some of Jimbo's material. Her little rant the other week about Britiain being a 'silly little island full of racists' doesn't exactly bring people together does it. Last night she was basically slagging-off Boris for being a narcissist, that's a bit rich coming from someone working in commerical broadcast media who clearly loves the sound of their own voice. LOL. You couldn't really make it up.
I am so happy I've found this thread! I've been an LBC listener for about 10 years and sometimes I just need to offload but I've nobody to moan with!
James O'B winds me up a treat but I hate to admit he seems to have mellowed slightly since I first listened to him. I used to love Nick Abbott on weekend nights as I seem to have memories of his show being fairly apolitical and just a bit bonkers, but I tuned in recently after a five year long break and it was disappointingly political and just covered the same old shite that everyone else had talked about that day.
Glad we're out of the depths of Covid because I had to turn my radio off for a couple of years. Not quite sure how the same topic can be discussed 24/7 for two years but somehow they managed it and my God was it boring.
You can moan away here ... we are all ears.
There were times during Covid I had to turn off for days at a time because I just couldn't listen all day everyday. I still do at times. Non stop dressing news is quite a drain.
No such issues with Steve Allen.

Bet he's got enough for a small villa in the Algarve nowI heard that today.
I don't think I've ever listened to Steve Allen! I usually have it on while at work and rarely start before 9, but next time I awake unusually early (for me!) I will give him a try.

Welcome and as Fenella has said we manage to be a friendly lot.I am so happy I've found this thread! I've been an LBC listener for about 10 years and sometimes I just need to offload but I've nobody to moan with!

So increasingly is James....Brian O'Chiswick is a parody poster.
Try the podcast ... you can listen to it on the way to or back from work. As for Covid ... I used to call Eddie Mair's show: "The Eddie Mair Death Hour" ... he'd just read death stats the whole time, sprinkled with a few callers with harrowing stories of death. Made 'Our Tune' with Simon Bates back in the day seem quite up beat.
You have your moan; you may find some people actually agree with you !!
Welcome. We are a friendly lot here. We don't bite ..... well not much!!
If you have only been listening for 10 years you are a 'baby listener' . I have been listening for almost 49 years! I have heard LBC in all its incarnations. Presenters who come and go. Management who also come and go etc. etc.
Thank you Wow, 49 years! I didn't even know it'd be going 49 years. I started listening when my dad got me a radio when I went off to uni. Initially I thought I'd get no use out of it but he swore I'd grow to love it and he was right!
On the subject of LBC whilst he was no doubt well paid by the BBC Andrew Castle did not exactly get universal acclaim for his tennis commentary tonight.
