I couldn't imagine her fitting in at LBC. I always liked Daisy McAndrew when she previously worked at LBC. That was quite a while ago now. LBC like poaching from the BBC so maybe Victoria Derbyshire? I also like Penny Smith.
Places will be nervous about Victoria Derbyshire as her morning TV show recorded a zero audience back in the day. Not literally but below the margin of measurement.

I think she has regained some credibility though since then. There was a lot of love for her covering Kuenssberg recently. I actually think she'd do ok on LBC in it's current form. They are turning into an BBC lite. I actually prefer more interesting characters like Dom Joly tbh.

You do know that Daisy was PA to the late Liberal Leader Charles Kennedy and she leaked to the tabloid media that he was an alcoholic? In my opinion that quickened his decision to commit suicide. That's unforgivable for me. She's a bleep, a really unpleasant one. So is Derbyshire. ...what kind of vermin shags your colleague's husband? Mark Sandell left Fi Glover for her and then was sacked from the BBC for sexual harrassment. Yes, I know EXACTLY the kind of woman Derbyshire is ... a nasty, foul, vile old bint. She'll fit right in at LBC ... a bleep of a broadcasting corporation, full of rats.

LBC have brought in several pro Labour women who are remainers does it need one more like Derbyshire?

The trouble with following fashion is that you end up with someone like Purkiss.

Ok ... so we're crossing Victoria Derbyshire of the list then :ROFLMAO:

I didn't know that about Daisy McAndrew and Charles Kennedy. That's awful. She's off too then.

Purkiss was never on the list. Really dislike her.

Got Nick Abbot on. It's purile bollocks. Juvenile. Again, a bit like with James O'Brien, what are the bean-counters at Global thinking? These people are just tit. Is there nothing else? I suppose not.

Just enjoyed half an hour of Dugdale tying himself up in knots trying separate legality and morality by comparing the consequences of shoplifting in this country and homosexuality in others. I didn't stay with it long enough to hear if he managed to blame nicking from shops on poverty (caused by this government, of course) but in his world it's always baby food. He can't have seen the shops' footage of gangs loading up trolleys and bin bags with booze, steak and cosmetics.

Someone called him an "up and coming James O'Brien" this morning....I gave it about 10 mins . Reparations for slavery and shoplifting. I can't bear him. Insufferable little twit.

I worked with a bloke who used to shoplift. He didn't need to, he was well-off. I don't really know why he did it, I guess he got a thrill out of it. Pretty weird. He once told me that he nicked his entire Christmas/New Year food and drink from Tesco. I can't quite remember exactly how he did it, he used two trollies somehow and used a second receipt. Something like that. Anyway, he made it sound ridiculously easy. He reckoned he stole about 150quids worth of stuff. It wasn't all good news mind, he got caught at the local ASDA and has his photo on the wall, lol. Nothing was done to him other than getting banned from the store, same thing happened at Iceland. Mind-boggling really.

I once worked with a girl who had a nice little earner going with M&S. You'd go in, pick out something you wanted, describe it to her, with your size. She'd then go into a branch, pinch it and sell it to you at half price. I did it once but felt very uncomfortable about wearing it. 😳 I left not long after so don't know if she was ever caught.

My contribution. This was many many years ago. I knew an alcoholic woman with an alky boyfriend who virtually kitted out her flat from stuff they'd just walk out with.
Eventually she was caught and taken to court over stealing a bulb of garlic from Asda. I think her flat was searched at that time & as she had no receipts admitted to other offences. I can't see that happening nowadays.

I must admit, I would sometimes put a copy of an expensive broadsheet newspaper inside a copy of a tabloid and scan it through. I told myself it was for educational purposes so it didn't really count as theft. Plus I usually left the paper on the train for other people to read. 😬
