That was fake news, as they say, Police Scotland said after viewing the cctv footage.
I don't have any problem with the pro-Palestine gathering going ahead on Saturday, it's nowhere near The Cenotaph & is being held later too, there's football on, theatre concerts, the UK pauses for a moment at 11am to pay respect, but the World doesn't stop.
It's almost as though certain individuals like Braverman are hoping for trouble to occur.
What remains of the Conservative party are now playing to the gallery of the extreme far right, the Tories were always centre/right, if Sunak had any balls he'd get rid of Braverman.

I doubt it. She still has aspirations to be leader and if Sunak has any savvy, he won't make her into a martyr for the traditional wing of the party. Better to keep her inside the tent!

It's possible that being married to a Jew gives her a more realistic take on current affairs.
 
Do the anti-poppy brigade not realise that by urging people not to buy one they are depriving the British Legion of the donations that keep the charity going? Whether you choose to wear the poppy, bin it or give it to your cat to play with, the act of buying it helps service families and ex-service personnel who may need support. (Sorry - off topic)

Is there really an 'anti-poppy brigade' though ? I'm sure it must be a very vocal minority, a percentage of whom probably have some mental issue or attention-seeking disorder.
 
I hope Iain is taking his old chum Steve along to one of the Cliff gigs. :D
