:D I wonder if an AI Government would have had AI parties during lockdown?

Politicians are all robotic anyway so would we notice the difference?

As for Twitter/X....Never felt the remotest desire to engage with it. Happy to be a Dinosaur living a simple life in terms of technology "enrichment". Bring back the quill pen as far as I'm concerned..

I think semaphore is very underrated myself. Admittedly, not great for radio.

Twitter is a cesspit and it has been for years, you should realise very, very quickly that you don't change anyone's mind on anything. Only ever got blocked by two people, Victoria Derbyshire because I called her a hypocrite for criticising a senior 5live employee for not moving to Salford when she point blank refused to do the same. The second person was Steve Allen who was telling us on air how he was completing his VAT return. He was doing it wrong, so I politely told him how to do it right and the block button was hit instantly !

My husband got blocked by Steve for something really innocuous too. We just thought it was really funny. Like a badge of honour.

I've been on Twitter for a long time. I always found it fine because I literally just followed people and news organisations I liked and trusted so never got dragged into the messier side of things. However, since the 'for you' timeline appeared it's became a minefield. I don't follow Sangita but she pops up all the time in the 'for you' timeline because, I guess, I follow LBC. James O'Brien pops up a lot too though I don't follow him either.

She's probably being exposed to people who otherwise would have no idea who she is and are just out to troll and be vile.

Nick Abbot says he never reads any of the replies to his Twitter posts.

Blimey, the Telegraph reviewer really doesn't like Jobby's book. Or him!

The Telegraph is completely rudderless right now as it awaits to be bought-out. It really should have just ignored the book. I doubt many people who read the Telegraph know who Jimbo is. I would imagine the audience his book is aimed at are politically aware left-leaning students and non-university educated adults who hate the Tories and don't read much. Still, as a pragmatist I do believe reading is a good thing and if the book makes money for the publisher it might then be able to offer authors who are actually talented a book deal. I'm desperately trying to find something positive to say!

Are you a CBT therapist?:)

I feel bad for not buying it now...I'm all for giving talented authors a chance to be published. Reading decent material is so important and empowering, I think.

He's digging out Braverman for banning tents on streets. Maybe the home office could forward O'Brien's address and let a dozen pitch up outside his gates. He wouldn't have a problem with the defecating, urine and used needles would he ? Man of compassion and all that
He could dole out some free copies of his tome for them to read whilst lounging in their tents?

I think the issue here is that Sangita was looking for a career advantage via getting involved in all the publicity and interest in the Israel/Palestine issue. So whilst I do not agree with those abusing her it is also true that she should have known the danger of getting involved in something so polarised and nasty.

She is either very naive or thinks we are...
