I waited at least 2/3 weeks for results, they were abnormal and was referred in for additional tests within 6 months and scanned, biopsies whole works because of uterine cancer history in family. Nothing was said to me within a week. She may pull the other one on that if she went via rotunda

Yup, posted letter then call from GP to discuss when something was up but it was longer than a week for sure

Longer than a week for me too and I had abnormal cells as well. Get bad news and straight to Instagram to tell the internet the girl needs her head checked while she is at it
 
I’m a nurse in the UK, qualified here so not sure if it’s the same at home but.. The results (in public healthcare) do not make a difference to how quick you get your results letter. On average I say to patients max 4 weeks, minimum 2. My first smear was HPV and abnormal cells, I got my letter with an appointment for colposcopy (within 3 weeks of receiving results) and only then will they decide to do a biopsy. As practice nurses we cannot see the amount of abnormal cells present, hence colposcopy. They will be the ones decide if she’s ok for a year, the cells need to be burned off and/or they need to be sent for biopsy, not the GP. About 80% of women in their life time will have HPV it’s so common (especially if you were a certain age before the HPV vaccine was introduced) I understand it is scary but I think niamh forgets she’s not the only woman in the world who experiences these things. God bless us all listening to her stories for the next week. She’ll be on deaths door
edited to also say I don’t think there is enough information when it comes to smears and the results, which is a big factor for people worrying when they get news like this

God love her bleeping crusade then 🤦🏻‍♀️ the drama that will come out of her if she needs a colposcopy (the nurses and midwives in the rotunda are just beautiful humans) but I’ve no doubt she’ll try to make this isn’t something it isn’t for drama and I swear if the bleep utters Vicky Phelans name and jumps on the government do nothing bandwagon as if she’s always cared 🤬

She’s in horrific pain because of her coil after migrating. She needs the thing out or a new one back in. Half the country have abnormal cells show up on their test results. She’s already a hypochondriac so this will just add to the long list of her ailments. She’s also blaming the doctors when she put off going for her smear test for two years. I’m sorry but with everything that’s gone on in Ireland, it’s completely irresponsible to not go for your smear when your called at 25. She’s a walking mess

But they also called me with my test results with abnormal cells, it’s not always a letter
 
More than likely it’s abnormal cells and hpv. She has to take responsibility for not going for a smear years ago. She’s 27/28, so she’s put it off for 2/3 years. I hope it’s nothing more sinister because nobody deserves that but the whinging she’ll do cos she has to go for a colposcopy. It’s not at all pleasant. I’ve had 1 last October and now have to have a 2nd clear one before moving back into the normal smear cycle. I’d prefer not to go for them but they could save my life so I would never put them off. Strap in everyone she’ll milk this for all its worth.
 
I have just gone through 3 years of back and forth with the smear clinic and colposcopy clinic in Dundalk and I swear if Kneevo starts with this as her new "trend" I will actually snap. I spent 3 years thinking I may have to have a hysterectomy or children much earlier than I wanted. I felt diseased (I knwo I wasn't) but my mother told me I had an STD and I was essentailly shamed by my family for having abnormal cells. I went trhough several treatments, lletz and the cold coagulation (think that was what it was called), I bled for months and could not have sex for almost 2 years. GOOD LUCK to her going through that - Alex defo won't stay around if he's not getting any!!! Luckily I got the all clear two weeks ago but no - Cervical cancer is not a joke or a trend and Kneevo with her selective autism, arse leakage, botched arse, lobsided tits, social "anxiety" - aw get the absolute boat Kneevo and go back to the shticks where you belong in your caravan

That’s terrible of your family to put that on you. It’s just ignorance on their part. I’m glad you’re ok now but that must have been so traumatic with the added shame thrown on top of it.
