it happened on the last birthday too - totally unfair to the child who’s birthday it is. I do fully suspect she’s shown that clip for our benefit which, if she has, makes it even worse!!

But either way, the kids seem to have no manners and her not stopping them ripping open someone else’s presents is pretty crappy parenting! Teach them no, teach them to wait their turn, teach them to respect each other - surely even her ‘gentle parenting and Montessori’ have methods for this?!!

I feel mean for saying this but I think they are the kids that wouldn’t get invited over to a house twice. I imagine them to be very forward and asking for a lot of stuff, toys out and left, constantly wanting a snack etc. I hated having kids like this over when my daughter was younger.

My brother and his wife do this and it does our whole families head in. My nephew is called Callum Maximus (after her dad we aren’t posh ) and they constantly shout “max” or “maxy” I roll my eyes so heavily when I’m with them and they do this my eyeballs are practically in a different postcode
