My friend has a designer coat and one of the leather toggles came off it (it was duffel type, and toggle literally came off at the stitches- the fabric wasn't ripped or anything). They said that she would have to pay to have it fixed as they would have to send it back abroad and wouldn't be able to fix it in the UK fairly disappointing when you've spent so much money already however it turns out that lifetime warranties are not actually very common. Gucci for example I think only offer free fixes on their bags if its less than 1 year old and not due to excessive wear and tear. Anything over a year and you'd pay for it.
