It's fly Kathleen, not flies.
Bloody Marys, not Mary's.
And of course their tradition involves booze.
"New tradition" is an oxymoron, not that she would know what that means 💀

These are hands down the least appetising Bloody Marys I've ever seen.

Merry Christmas guys 🙃

Also for someone whose job is social media, I wish she would learn when to use (and not use) apostrophes properly.

I put her gaming Vlogmas on, and the cringe is real. Katie and Vater G have started playing Dungeons and Dragons and she says that it sounds geeky...

OMG Kathleen, lots of people play it, and it's ok to speak about in a normal manner, and not call yourself "geeky" or be low key embarrassed.

G gets her a tiramisu from Eataly, and again it's not boozy enough 🙄 why not make your own, drench it in alcohol, and stop complaining. I mean, she doesn't really complain but you can kind of her the disappointment in her voice.

Two more vlogs to go LOL

"job" lol :ROFLMAO:
Meow 😆

‚Its been hard squeezing editing in‘
Squeezing in into what exactly, brunches & gaming?
OMG you whaaat Kathleen?
If anything, the "Vlogmas" showed that besides filming the odd job here and there, she really has nothing going on. Such a wasted opportunity. She could have done make tutorials (I mean, she did do one but only because she was going out anyway), gift guides, style guides/outfit ideas, her FAV makeup and skincare this year (great videos to do towards the end of year); she could have booked to do Christmas lights trail (there's amazing one in Kew but there are some equally as nice in various national trust locations outside of London). Go to central London and show the Oxford St/Carnaby St lights/Selfridge's Christmas windows. Go ice skating at the Somerset House. You get the idea. People like Christmas lights, people like seeing London all pretty and festive. She could have attempted making a bloody Tiramisu from scratch. Do 2-3 easy festive cocktail recipes. ANYTHING FESTIVE.

But no. All of these would be effort and she wouldn't get paid for them. Which is true, but I don't think she's thinking strategically. I wouldn't say she's a beauty influencer anymore, she's aiming more foodie/lifestyle. I feel like if she was able to show that food and drink were truly her passion, did quite simple videos, like following recipes for cocktails/food, she would probably get more brand deals* and would be invited to try menus at different restaurants too**. But it appears that she can get away with doing a couple of sponsored videos a month, post an aff link here and there, and let Geoff take care of the rest if the bills, and that's it. She has truly rested on her laurels and has literally no incentive to progress, make her content more interesting. She seem to have lost all ambition. It's kind of depressing, and the whole Vlogmas was a mixture of boring and depressing.

* Not that I know anything about influencing but I am fairly active on IG in my local area and have around 3.5K people following me. In the last month I got invited to a little independent shop launch and a coffee shop opening (sadly couldn't attend either) but you get the idea. She definitely needs to get out more and put herself out there!
**Not sure if we need her reviews, but if she did it more, maybe she would get better? Or is it just wishful thinking on my part 🫣

i wonder what happened between Kathleen and her grandparents. she hasn't spoken to them since their wedding.

@fastenough found some posts on another forum, which we believe are by Katie's mum. Katie never spoke about this directly or in such detail, aside from mentioning "family drama" in the run-up to the wedding, which at the time we did think was probably exaggerating but after reading her mum's posts, you can see she didn't really exaggerate

tit, i don't know how i missed that. Thank you. Disgusting behavior

Katie’s wedding drama had been discussed extensively on the previous threads. Although her family were wrong to make those demands, (Geoffleen were well within their rights to demand a kid free wedding) - the fallout was as expected due to disastrous way it was handled by the couple. Also how cringe that Kathleen’s mum had to come on here on her burner tattle account to ‘set the record straight’. I have little sympathy for Kathleen regarding the situation in its entirety.

anyway, I wonder if Kathleen will share her Christmas morning with us? Get yer bingo’s in lads. Am predicting some ridiculous cat themed crap from ‘Morris’ to ‘cat mum’ 🙄

@squatternutbosh I might be in minority but listening to Katie being "sad" about not being in contact with her grandparents made me think she should be the bigger person and try to reach out to them. I don't know how old they are but if I were her, I think I would regret if I wasn't on good terms with them in case something happened or they passed away. I had lost two of my grandparents during lockdowns, and since my family live in another country, I couldn't even attend their funerals. I know the older generations could be bitter, and stubborn and stuck in their ways, but as I just said, if you are truly sad about the state of the relationship, you should make an effort make things better. You are the one who will live for many many more years, your grandparents probably have not got that much left; once they will be gone, you will be the one regretting not trying. My granny was 93 when she passed and suffered from dementia in her final years, which made visiting her before Covid and when travel between lockdowns/restrictions was permitted, difficult and frustrating at times, but at least we weren't estranged.
I guess I am just thinking out loud here; I don't think we should always just go ahead and forgive anything, and let people have their way, so to say, but given the situation, I feel like it would just make Katie feel more at peace, if she were to make the first steps towards reconnecting.

I don't think there's really any genuine making peace with people who are so god awful entitled and punishing they'd boycott their own grandchild's wedding because children weren't included. If this is how it really went then duck em. They have made their own choice that they're satisfied to use their remaining time on earth hurting others and that being their legacy. Those types of personalities aren't capable of receiving a deeply undeserved olive branch. They'll find a new way to make you wish you hadn't bothered.

@consumerism makes u free I think Katie's relationship with the grandparents was good up to the point of the wedding drama, that's why I stand by what I said earlier. If the relationship had always been difficult and their behaviour toxic, that's different, I wouldn't be saying that she should be reaching out etc, I'd definitely agree and say good riddance. But my previous comment it's my personal opinion, and not an universal truth, and I appreciate and understand that you feel differently.

So glad she met one of her hero's. Wonder if he served her tomato's.
She must be trolling us by this point.

By the way, we all know what Katie fan-girling sounds like. She squealed in her baby voice, and laughed hysterically, and probably said many silly things because you can tell from the picture she's probably quite tipsy. She probably wanted to show Marcus her willy socks she was no doubt wearing.
😬

Yeah I don't know, I tend to agree with this. I'm sure she's done a lot of reflection about it and it weighs on her a lot. She was clearly close with them and not talking to someone like that is really hard (I was estranged from my mother for years). It's not an easy choice to make even if cutting someone off can seem like an "easy way out" to some. I promise you it is not.
