Seriously though, how can you run up debts of 2 million quid? You'd think when you hit 100k of debt you'd say to yourself: "Oh duck, we're 100k in the red here". 2 million bleeping quid? That's fucked-up. It's either absolute ignorance or calculated arrogance. If she gets let off I'm either bleeping emigrating or robbing a bank. What's the bleeping point of being honest?

Derek was a craven sociopath. It's not surprising he racked-up millions of pounds of debt. He had no self-control. One can only guess at what he got up to behind saint Kate's back. She was desperately sitting on the shelf when he turned-up. I don't for a moment believe he gave a duck about her. She was just there and he wanted her so he took her, for his ego I would guess. It was purely transactional in his mind.

I believe he was truly bi-sexual as well as having some deeply flawed psychopathy. The kind of person who would want to knock-up a woman whilst also having love-affairs with rent-boys. Fine, good for him. Nothing illegal about that. I couldn't give a toss. But what winds me up is this notion that Derek was somehow a wonderful person. I don't think he was, I think he was a deeply flawed individual and possibly a sadist, and I think saint Kate enabled him.

For me the pair of them represent some of the most disgusting traits of humanity: greed, superficiality, dishonesty, and sadism. A truly vile couple. Folie à deux in the truest sense. Whenever I see Kate in the media, either on tv or on the front cover of a magazine I want to puke.

Where the feck have the £2m of debts come from?

According to this article the debts were in the league of hundreds of thousands, but not millions.

Must have been one hell of a loan shark that she went to to get the money to fly Derek off to Mexico.
