I don't get why anyone would want to follow these hideous braying toffs. I’m astonished that Kat thinks the way to deal with this is to continue to delete comments. How is shutting down criticism, and refusing to have a conversation listening and learning? It’s making her look worse than she already did.

She should be thoroughly ashamed but you just know that behind the scenes they’ll all be moaning that it’s a big fuss about nothing and that they’ve done nothing wrong! When these little cracks start to appear, it shows up her fake persona so clearly!
We definitely need to make sure that this whole debacle is in the next thread title, so she can’t forget what she did!

Here’s the thing - Kat has taken her blog/Instagram account from an endearing, well written and engaging bit of social media froth into what is quite likely to be (adding in ads, TV, trips, freebies) quite lucrative. She refers to all of her portfolio of various activities as work.
Here’s the rub - I have a job, I go to work. If I was to be have been seen in my workplace where comments of a racist nature had been shared, even if I didn’t utter a word, I would be quite rightly subject to a disciplinary investigation.
So, even if we take the apology at face value - this is her job, surely a top of their game professional would proof read and edit anything before publishing? Quite happy to take the money but not prepared to take the consequences.

For those asking, the captions didn't pick up everything said. A male voice was heard asking what "the terrorists" say and then quoting the well known Arabic phrase that some terrorists have been heard to say. This was accompanied by laughter. Yes, appalling.

Maybe I'm naive, but I can't imagine anyone saying this as a joke, even in private, let alone outdoors. Unless, of course, you're a big fat racist. Wonder if anyone there overheard?

OMG never a truer word has been spoken! These roaring Instagram successes are all the same - white, posh and monied. They sell aspirational lifestyles but it’s all totally unachievable. The two Clemmies are shining examples but they’re not the only ones.

I don’t recall Kat ever doing twenty stories about Eurovision before, so that certainly feels like burying the IOW racist fiasco and moving briskly on.

Someone is advising her how to manage this, yet they’ve learnt very little from past racism scandals such as Mrs Meldrum and Clemmie Hooper: transparency is key.

She must want her online spaces to be squeaky clean and scandal free because the book coming out and the teeth being done indicates to me she intends pivoting to a media career.
