This was the push I need to unfollow - not that I expect Kat cares much.

But also, regardless of what was said, those auto captions are useless. I do not have impaired hearing, but only read captioned stories and swipe straight past any that aren't as I never have volume on. If you don't care enough about your audience to caption properly then I don't care enough about you to follow you.
 
Presumably it generates them as you’re speaking, in which case it’s hard to understand how she failed to notice the word TERRORIST.

Honestly, if I was her I’d be lying low right now, deeply embarrassed by the whole episode. Such a shameful insight into what is considered acceptable in her circle/household. And the fact that it took her so long to apologise speaks volumes.

A weak apology at that.
 
She was probably ordered by her mgmt to post a (blink and you miss it) apology. It’s very tightly worded and not written in her usual style at all. Bet some of the proverbial hit the fan yesterday. But then they cracked open the 8th bottle of Bolly, ate some scallops, remembered they were staying in “one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in” and all was right with the world again.
 
It’s always interesting when the mask slips, isn’t I'm also fascinated that Kat has been marketing herself as Trinny Mark 2.
So whilst she’s been in the Isle of Wight hanging out with people who enjoy casual racism, Trinny is in Iceland taking helicopter trips to ski.
Now, I’m not saying I’d get together with an abuser in order to have that lifestyle but one is very much more aspirational than the other!
 
I'm in two minds. I was glad that there was an apology (even though it was weak) and heartened that the comments were called out on here in the first place. However, she seems to have missed the point that it was the racist sentiments that were the problem and not the fact that they appeared as captions. Then, without missing a beat, it's food porn and me and my lovely friends posts. How can you be so crass and unaware? I guess the reams of sycophantic "you're so beautiful" comments don't help.

I’ve always got the impression that he’d rather not be featured (I’d guess as a city lawyer he doesn’t want to be “Instagram husband” - and who can blame him) and he doesn’t look wild about being in the Ridley woman’s lunch story, but is probably too polite to tell her to put her bloody phone away. How tedious to be trying to enjoy a meal with someone who spends their entire time live-gramming everything.

Casual racists generally don’t recognise that they are racist, so she probably thinks it’s all a bit of fuss over nothing. Jolly japes. It was telling that [or said] was a bit of an afterthought in her apology.
 
The only thing cheering me up about this is the weather is absolutely diabolical today. The Needles recorded 85mph winds last night and it’s been gusts of over 60 today on the mainland coast so it’ll be the same if not worse on the island and from experience, the IOW is pretty miserable when it’s this wet and windy 😂 SUCH a shame for Little Miss Privilege.
 
I have no sympathy for her if this blows up, it utterly bemuses me how the mums turned fashion influencer brigade operate their supposed 'business' instagram accounts, no quality filter at all, and posting everything without watching it back, objectively, beforehand.

Privileged wealthy white woman, who already owns a second holiday home by the sea in desperate need to a break away, boo hoo.
 
It's not the first time she's been called out for being tone deaf, not reading the room etc. Everyone makes mistakes. The admirable response is to acknowledge them, apologise and LEARN from them. Not seen any evidence of that. It's more delete, block, ignore.
