It’s ok, if any one pulls her up on that comment she’ll just blame it on her menopause.

The locals must be absolutely pissing themselves at the bunch of pissed up, over dressed, middle aged over nighters, prancing about with their phones like they are 12 year olds on Tik Tok.
Tbf she didn’t make the comment, the auto captions picked up her hubby & friends in the background

That was a shocking post. No filter, no clue. After all the black positive pieces she did last year when that was fashionable. SMH

Perhaps, but she posted it. It’s a professional account. Kat makes plenty of money from it. So it is not ok just to post without consideration.

My reply was in response to someone saying if somebody pulls her up on the comment she’ll blame it on her menopause. I too was surprised she’d not noticed & it was up so long before she/her management team removed it!

I see what you mean. I suspect you’ve hit the nail on the head with management team!

Especially for Kat!

Presumably she’s going to just pretend she didn’t inadvertently broadcast her friend’s racist comments to her 230k followers.
I know she's taken it down but lots of people saw and heard it. I think she should address it. These are your friends (and hubby?) for goodness sake! She comes across as so mannered and fake that I never believe she believes in any campaign banddwagon she leaps on...but this is something else. It's those behind the scenes moments that show the truth. Funny thing is, she seems to think she's so real and random and quirky. Look up from your pampered life and notice what's going on in the world. It's behind you! Laughing at terrorists? Hilarious.

Absolutely - I think that tiny deleted video showed us far more of the real life of Kat than any of her carefully-crafted posts ever have!

Actually, the more I think about this the more it winds me up. Isn't this what anti-racism campaigns are all about? You don't have to do or say anything but if you allow it to happen around you, without calling it out, then you're part of the problem. At best you allow the problem to persist, at worst it's perceived as tacit agreement. Oh, but she posted a black square so job done!

Blimey! What did I miss, what was said? I see she’s away with more instagrammers and fashion folk rather than mere civilian mates, so no one will want to take the fall for whatever was said in case they lose followers/business.

She should address it, but it’s hard to see how she’s going to come out of it looking good no matter what she says. She most certainly should have taken more care in what she was posting, because with influence comes responsibility - and she can absolutely apologise for not reviewing her video before posting it - but that doesn’t deal with the fact that either her husband or one of his mates saw her with a black scarf oh her head, and made a racist comment.
Apologising for the fact that when the camera’s not on, you occupy a social sphere where casual racism is considered acceptable and hilarious ain’t a good look, no matter how you spin it.

The weather was bad and she had a black scarf around her head. Either her husband or one of his mates was very clearly heard to say “what is it the terrorists say? Allah Akbar!”. The joke clearly being that Kat looked like she was wearing a hijab and therefore = terrorist.
