I’m not specifically referring to Joanne here, cause I know she has already confirmed that she doesn’t have any learning difficulties or special needs, but has anyone else noticed there’s a huge amount of talentless (to put it bluntly) wannabe influencers around these days? Who aren’t even remotely accomplished at the skill they are trying to get famous for?

I think it’s particularly prevalent with wannabe MUA’s. I have come across loads lately who can’t even do their own makeup, I’m talking zero skill or talent, let alone anyone else’s.
I understand that it’s subjective but these girls are posting endless ‘tutorials’ where they are getting even the most basic concepts completely wrong. One girl in particular that I’ve come across (Sophie Ella Goode on insta/tiktok) applies her eyeshadow directly onto her brow bone and doesn’t even blend it, for goodness sake.

Another one I came across on tiktok, Alyssa Storch, doesn’t have a note in her head but has a wealthy family who has paid big bucks to get her song onto Spotify.
This girl is on the spectrum but is getting dogs abuse in the comments under her videos, and is clearly completely enabled by her family.

I suppose there’s two things I’m getting at here. Why do people like Joanne assume that if they consistently post content, however crap and lazy it is, that they are entitled to fame, attention, and glory, despite having no discernible talent?
And why are the parents/families of the young adults who clearly have learning difficulties enabling them and not protecting them from assh*les on the internet?

I just don’t understand how their families aren’t telling them to give it a rest and focus on something they’re actually good at. Or at least get lessons, and get good at the skill before trying to get famous influencing others.

I suspect Joanne and a lot like her won't be told.
I'm not certain if its delusion or a case of simply creating her own reality. I'm not even sure if she really is so socially unaware that she can't spot the piss takers. Maybe its easier for her to ignore that behaviour because recognising it means failure or having to join the real world again. She did acknowledge trolling in the past, she even acknowledged her past mistakes so sadly I think she's chosen to ignore it or play along.
Family intervention is really tricky, what can you do?
Unless someone is a risk to themselves or others, not much. The Internet is full of spanners making people laugh At them. Sad, but thanks for the lolz JoJo.

I just looked up Allysa Storch on Spotify, jesus christ one of her songs has 46000 plays, I'd imagine for all the wrong reasons.
These people need siblings to put them in their place my siblings would have ripped the piss out of me so bad if I tried to become an influencer, it wouldn't be worth the slagging id get.
