I found that while a lot of what she said may have been true, the videos said more about her as a professional than it did about Joanne and it seemed a little misguided.

The certificates she showed dont really prove anything about her work or ethics as a practitioner. The rant about the Beck Institute and working towards accreditation...until you have the piece of paper in your hand, you are not accredited, sure if that were the case we could all claim we were working towards whatever we fancied. So its a bit irrelevant to her point.

I'm not undermining the work she has done and the education she has behind her, but she didn't show what her post grad was specialising in. Her undergraduate degree seemed to be a science degree with a course of study in counselling (correct me if I'm wrong on that)... i am not familiar enough with that qualification to speak on its relevance to her work, but the fact she said it wasn't accredited would indicate that it is not sufficient to practice. It also doesn't state what type of counselling, so its hard to know either way based on that.

All therapists and counsellors commit to a set of ethical principles, and confidentiality is at the heart of that, imo that applies whether the person paid or not, or signed a contract or not. And that may seem like im holding her to a higher standard than any other "influencer" but when she is claiming to be such a professional mental health advocate and counsellor/whatever the point of that rant was, and that she is more qualified based on that to provide the support/content she does, then she is expecting people to entrust her with their most sacred thoughts/fears/hopes, so there is a duty of care there even if its only implicit. You cant on one hand claim to be one thing but then dismiss the responsibility that goes with that imo.

Having said alllllll of that, I am only basing this on her rant, I dont know the girl and I didnt look into her formal qualifications beyond that video, so please enlighten me if I am wrong!

A quick look at her professional profile shows a long history of working with people in a MH capacity. She has worked for 3yrs as a counsellor with Mind Yourself, working with young people. She also worked as an integrative counsellor with BACP for 3yrs, 1yr with Aware as a CBT counsellor and was a part time counselling lecturer at the University of Ulster. She has been running Replenish for 4.5yrs now also. Compare that to someone with zero qualifications who befriended someone to basically steal her whole business concept, I know who I would have more confidence in.

If she has worked professionally as an integrative counselllor then perhaps her post grad was in that, as I said she didn't show what it was in, and i admitted I didnt look any further than her rant because quite frankly it told me all I needed to know about her. If she has been working in that capacity for so long, it is extremely disappointing that she is behaving that way and addressing concerns about confidentiality so defensively.

I dont view joanne in any higher regard btw. But that rant of hers would not instill any confidence, imo.

I dont follow her fyi, just had a nose when I heard she had so little comments.
You also didnt really answer the question about how she is still getting sponsored when most her pics have about 15 comments 🤷‍♀️

And Not one pic of them all, the note was most likely a List of rules to follow
1. Do not post any pictures of the house unless it’s a corner
2. Do not post any pictures of the tenants unless correct angles and adequate photo shop and filter have been applied
3. All location pics must feature either grass blowing in wind or water babbling, must have a song on nature pics also

I noticed there was no filter on the sea unlike most of Joannes stories. Also who leaves a note in for their guests in their room. Hello this isn’t a country manor house, it’s a cottage. The bedrooms are most likely right beside each other.

I think she means it's the friend's first time. As if she is constantly showing people around Cork who haven't been there before. As if she is some sort of expert on West Cork. Can't recall her showing anyone else around, unless ypu count the previous boyfriend and family.
By the way,, why hasn't she gone to visit her mother yet. Makes a big deal about an instagram acquaintance coming to visit her rented accommodation but hasn't been to see her own mother.

I just can’t get my head around it, first time and never gets old, like a contradiction or something? Well they’re the first to be shown around, it’s not like she’s broadcasted that other friends have been shown around so it’s not something she’s done before or regularly, so how can it never get old?
I think from previous posts, the husband would be high risk so maybe that’s why they haven’t been in contact?
