The chat with the American Vlogger is up.
Can’t be bothered to watch it. If anyone does, what is the big reveal the US lady said? The chat with the American Vlogger is up.
It looks as if she's clambered up to reach the edge of the bath to peep over. I've actually been looking at those small deep Japanese style bathtubs for a small ensuite, she could look at modelling for Omnitub.
I watched it as was woken early and couldn’t get back to sleep. It was a lot of Pretty over 50, saying how careful she is to only promote / sell / shill stuff she uses herself and was sure MAM has the same ethos - ahem Cherryz…Can’t be bothered to watch it. If anyone does, what is the big reveal the US lady said?
I think she has considered this before. She did a podcast series called Dogs in the City but that was a BBC series. It’s a saturated market now. It’s something she has probably missed the boat on. The ones that tend to do well in this space are “names” these days. A few years back she might have stood a chance but perhaps not so much nowadays. I am a big fan of podcasts, prefer them to radio.I have recently gotten in to Podcasts and I can't help but think they would be perfect for MAM.
A. Can be recorded at a time that suits her
B. Can be promoted freely on her YT Vlogs
C. Can be recorded from the comfort of her home, no need to worry about being mugged/waiting for a taxi
D. Low tech required, no getting locked out of Zoom.
E. More time to talk about herself.
F. She can control who she has on and what is discussed.
If I were MAM'S agent, I'd be pushing for a podcast deal. Podcasts are becoming increasingly popular. It is big business as many people listen on their Walkmans/MP3 players on the bus, doing the housework etc. Podcasts are popular with influencers, as they can plug products at the top of the cast.
There was still an episode of Dogs In The City on Jo's BBC page. I think the issue with that is dogs are a niche market. Some people aren't interested in dogs, others are allergic etc, so it is quite a polarising subject. Have you heard her colleague, Gaby Roslin's podcast? It is similar to This Is Your Life with some small screen names like Josh Cuthbert, Kate Thornton etc.I think she has considered this before. I forgot all about that! Controversial but Alex Belfield did something similar on his YouTube. I am guessing the big announcement that she kept baiting was the Sheer Luxe contract. She said a while ago that she planned to eventually do something like her radio show on YouTube, or something like that. She was very excited and had a meeting with Nigel the agent and Filipe about it but nothing has yet materialised. Now that she's in the BBC departure lounge it might be rekindled. Podcasts are a good idea bui it is an extremely competitive market and a very savvy approach is needed to stand out among the offerings.
Unfortunately I cannot abide GR - she is too gushy and vanilla for my tastes. I did try a few and they got on my wick. Kate Thornton also does one. My tastes are mixed on podcasts, it’s like a great big box of chocolates, with a centre to suit everyone at any given time. Gaby, Kate and Fearne Cotton are the podcast equivalent of chocolate covered Turkish delight for me. I listen to them expecting my senses to be stimulated but I take a bite and feel let down and disappointed. There was still an episode of Dogs In The City on Jo's BBC page. Some radio stans are very dedicated, quite cult-like sometimes, I wonder if GOB's listeners are devoted enough to follow her wherever. Couldn't she go to some Boomer station? I tried listening to one once but it made me feel ancient, as I suppose it might as I'm not a boomer.I forgot all about that! Controversial but Alex Belfield did something similar on his YouTube. Isn’t Belfield the nutter who is currently at His Majesty’s Pleasure? Some radio stans are very dedicated, quite cult-like sometimes, I wonder if GOB's listeners are devoted enough to follow her wherever. I wonder if any Tattlers are currently at the Marylebone chrismas lights thing atm, I might have gone but need to work very late tonight.
I like Kaye Adams, I didn't know she casted, I'll have to give it a try.Unfortunately I cannot abide GR - she is too gushy and vanilla for my tastes. I did try a few and they got on my wick. At the moment I like How to be Sixty with Kaye Adams. I am not their demographic but I like her, she’s intelligent and up for a laugh. I tend to prefer comedy ones - Rob Brydon/Alan Carr/Off Menu with Acaster and Gamble). Also some health ones.
Coincidence to my earlier comment, Fearne Cotton is doing the honours…Some radio stans are very dedicated, quite cult-like sometimes, I wonder if GOB's listeners are devoted enough to follow her wherever. I think they started this year. I am only 4 in. I think she did a few live shows too. She has a sarcastic side kick who used to be her radio producer. They take the piss out of each other a lot.I like Kaye Adams, I didn't know she casted, I'll have to give it a try.
Looks too loose/long in the arms. She must have been freezing. Why is Henry The 8th in the background?
