Jessie Cave #3 Can't successfully end a project, or a toxic relationship

It's sooo expensive to take a show to the Fringe too and live their for a month while continuing to rent in London ... with four kids in tow ... I can't imagine either of them making much, it's basically a passion project at this point
Is it normal to go ahead for a month like this? I know nothing about Edinburgh 😅

Yes it's an arts festival that runs throughout the month of August, famously is a gruelling challenge for performers performing every night, sometimes twice daily if they do a matinee performance as well! Edinburgh is an expensive city to live in (think, London of Scotland) and cost of rent, hotels, etc. are astronomical over August, performers also have to pay to perform at Edinburgh, the standard price of a full run is £393.60, famously most up-and-coming performers make a loss to perform at Edinburgh - there's a growing trend of boycotting the fringe as it's all now so expensive! Many performances also run as part of the "free fringe" which is a bucket collection, so you're not necessarily guaranteed an income either! It's all quite nuts but seen as a "right of passage" for many performers. It used to be performers would come with a work-in-progress show and perfect it over the course of the fringe, touring it afterwards, but now many performers come to the fringe with a finished show, partly because it's expensive for audiences to be there as well.

Oh and over the past couple of fringes the bin collectors have gone on strike and there's been no waste collection over the month of August 😭

So… they‘re moving to Liverpool? With Jessie’s mother then, I guess. And Bebe. Because, how else would Jessie exist?
that'll be Alfie's choice of location! there's no way Bebe would relocate, she's just moved in with Horatio, and I'm not sure how they'd cope without their mum's help...

have you seen Baby Reindeer? there's a pretty faithful portrayal of the Edinburgh Fringe for comics in that

They might think it’s funny or cute but I was brought up by a woman who couldn’t manage without her mother and it really makes you grow up feeling that no one is there to mother you & you’re responsible for their ability to cope. Be a perpetual child if you like but why choose to bring so many kids into that situation

Where does she say she's moving to Liverpool? They can't mean permanently. They have both only ever lived in London.

I’m surprised with their wealthy backgrounds and the sad recent death of Alfie’s father they don’t have the cash to buy in London; I bet jessie wants another kid so they’ll need a 6-bedroom, maybe 7 if Jessie’s mum needs a room 🙄 so London just isn’t feasible. They really must waste so much money on their careers if have to relocate up north, unless Alfie is hoping Jessie will hate it and move back to London so he’ll finally be free (no shade to Liverpool btw, bangin city, but these two are so bleeping posh I’m surprised (I know he’s a fan of the team))

Jessie is codependent with her mum and Bebe. She physically can't manage her kids without her mum . They really will not move.

Alfie is only with her because she's a safe bet and he knows she needs him. I'm sure he is sleeping around tbh he's one of those, once a cheater always a cheater.
if they're moving North it's for Alfie's career, there's Hot Water Comedy venues in Liverpool, Southport and Manchester
