Jen Lefforge #3 A hag with a hideous bag

🙄🙄🙄

Ignoring and dismissing other people's experiences.

Who are you to say what party someone was better financially under. Loads of people say they were better under republican governments. Same as in the UK many are better off under conservative governments.

Also, check your privilege. Money is important when it's the survival of your family and you literal have to put food on the table. Everyone has their family as their top priority.

Trump is awful, and Kamala is probably the necessary choice. But stop acting like she's some perfect choice, or that peoples concerns and livelihoods aren't important ot that you don't come from a massive place of privilege.

I think the person's statement needs more info. What type of business? How long has the business been running? Is it something that benefits from Republicans' disdain of regulations and oversight? Does better is way different than can't put food on the table.
In general, the metrics indicate that the economy is better under Democratic administrations, going back decades. The Republicans like to scare people with saying we'll be taxed to death and there's all kinds of waste, but one, stuff has to get paid for, second, their last round of "cuts" saw my own taxes go up 3 years in a row and third, there's always waste.
EDIT: Yes, Jen is terrible at engagement and making a point.

Its the fact this person said, my business does better under Republicans and her response is doubtful!! How is it doubtful when they have literally just told you!! Do you want them to show the bank statements to prove it?! You also don't know how many people that business supports
FFS it is not clean cut, and you should be trying to encourage people to fact check for themselves, provide links to reports, statements etc outlaying the pros of the party you support. Encourage people to register to vote. But acknowledge that not everyone who follows you will support the same party.
Especially when she has admitted to previously having values that lined up with the Republican Party. If she didn't have a gay son I have to think she'd be singing a different tune. Which, good for her for loving her son but it seems like these stories are a lot of overcompensating.

I agree about the scare tactics… I stumbled onto Meaghan McCain’s X/Twitter account last night and she had shared a post from some woman who works at Fox and who grew up in Canada trashing Trudeau’s appearance on Colbert the other night and ranting about how terrible socialized healthcare is. All the comments/replies were from people with similar scare tactics and horror stories of Canadian and UK healthcare.

Someone tried to say someone here had a heart attack and waited six months for heart surgery. Nope never happened. I don’t live in a major populated area and even people here don’t wait for emergency heart surgery. You have a heart attack and live and need bypass, you’re transferred to the heart centre an hour away the same day or next day depending on the time. Sure there’s delays for routine procedures and that’s a pain in the ass but nobody is dying waiting 12-18 months for a knee or hip replacement.

We can have differing views on issues but when you lie or scare you lose me from the debate and I’m going to call you on your BS.

Wtf is she talking about? Are Americans really scared into panicking everytime there's some strong weather of some sort, or is she being overly dramatic? Wtf is a 'wind event'? You mean a storm or hurricane that many parts of the world get? I live around loads of tall trees (including by my house just like she has), and we get plenty of storms in the UK, and sometimes trees come down. But I don't give it much of a thought, never mind dramatic social media posts.

Actually visiting America you do see how they are sold fear by the media. Whether it's medical, or weather, everything is hyped up to create worry and fear.

Well, the problem is really that news is almost completely a for profit venture. People click on the negative stuff very quickly, otherwise TMZ wouldn't really exist. PBS and NPR to me are the best in the US on the whole, in my opinion.
Yes, there are all kinds of dumb terms tossed around by weather people, and folks stationed outside all over the place to show you that there's snow on the ground and how poorly some handle driving in it. Or, some poor schmuck gets to stand next to the shore when the hurricane is hitting land. It's so dumb.
We had a smaller tree in our front yard that got split during a storm. We had someone remove it and got it replaced. That's the end of the story. I mean, yes, it would be terrible, but that's why we have homeowner's insurance.

Exactly this! When we get a hurricane here, I make sure the deck stuff is tucked up next to the house and everything is charged up in case of a power outage that’s it. Beyond that, insurance will take care of it.

She’s such a melodramatic narc, Coastal Florida is likely to have a direct hit affecting people in low lying areas and she’s worried about a tree hitting the well built McMansion completely in-land in Atlanta.

Depends on the builder how well built those McMansions are. Can you imagine the drama if they do have some damage? They can also well afford to go and stay in a hotel for a while, when you see others who can't do that.

I can't imagine stressing like that everytime there is a storm.

I can just hear her with her other American girlfriends talking about how awful it is and its so stressful and so much work

Even if her McMansion was shittily built, she’s not getting any empathy from me. I’ll save that for the poor people in trailer parks, etc. directly in the path who don’t have the means to evacuate or pay for a hotel like you said, and who often don’t have insurance.

I don't know about Atlanta, but in the prairies in Canada, we can experience wind shears which are (long story short) like a horizontal tornado. They can be very destructive. There are whole sections of Provincial parks where you can see the line of trees just flattened.

Oh for sure.

But it's her acting like it's a massive unexpected drama or big event.

Weather is part of life

It's like living near water and not expecting the chance of flooding

Reminds me of a former friend who moved from a major well serviced city in Ontario to super super rural NB with her family including special needs kids and elderly MIL. Then freaked out all over social media when there was a major forecasted ice storm and it was going to take a week for power to be restored. Like girl, I gave you the full debrief when you thought about moving here to be in a city due to the family’s needs. Otherwise you have to be self sufficient in the country in winter.

Christ alive, I just got up and checked her stories knowing it was a category 4 hurricane before I went to bed last night. Her narcissistic personality is off the charts and she’s beyond wound up for someone living so far inland in a non-flood area.

I’d be so embarrassed if she was my wife or mother. Talking about packing two Kamala shirts in her evacuation bag in case she gets interviewed on the news and washing her hair because she doesn’t want dirty hair in the middle of a hurricane. 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄

I’d be more concerned about finding a hotel that accepts a hag with three smelly large dogs if my house ends up damaged or if we have an extended power outage.

Ugh, can you imagine if she got interviewed on TV?
