I think the only reason she would be doing this so early is because someone told her the old wives tale that it makes them sleep longer (which all parents know isn't true!). Remember every decision related to Beau is always made for her own benefit!!

I am really sick of these MIC mums and their irresponsible parenting (Maeva, Ashley James, Louise Thompson)

I don't follow Ashley James because she's annoying af but how is she irresponsible? She seems to be very pro breastfeeding but that's literally all I know about her.

she was investigated by social services after telling a story on IG about how her 1yo slept in his own vomit and diarrhoea at night (the emphasis of the story was how horrible it was for her and her boyfriend to clean it up - zero sympathy for the sick child who’d been ignored all night)

she is open about dreading alone time with her son, is still disappointed he was a boy, and seemingly only uses him for content/paid ads.

she also feeds him a terrible diet, puts him in front of a screen about 95% of the time (every meal, supermarket trip, pram trip, car journey and any time he’s at home awake) and when cosleeping left him unattended on a bed (ended up in a&e one night with a huge gash to his head after he fell off the bed).

so yeah, she’s pretty awful

You called it!
she’s so smug and rude! also am I the only one who thinks her accent just makes everything she says no matter how serious she’s being, sound bleeping hilarious? I can’t take her seriously 😂 And for crying out loud, why does she need to address everything? Is she gonna do this for Beau’s entire childhood, cos I think we’ll have a bloody boxset of reactions to parenting criticisms by the end of this year. For a 30 year old it’s a bit much and if you’re that content with what you’re doing, there’s no need to defend it!

She gives me major superiority complex vibes. Coming from wealth doesn’t cross out the fact she’s a bellend

yes her accent definitely makes it funnier 🤣

I actually wonder if she just loves to stir the pot and negative engagement is still engagement.

remind me to check her follower account in the next couple of days, this might turn a few people 🤣

Tbh even though I’m complaining about all her reactions, I’m chatting tit, I bleeping love it 😂😂😂😂 it proper cracks me up watching her get all angry

I get that people might choose to wean early if baby is ready. In my NCT group quite a few have started around 4.5 months. I am not yet as my 4.5 month old can’t sit properly in a high chair yet, he still slumps a little. I don’t understand the need to rush things!
Yeah it can be sooner than 6 months if they’re ready but Beau clearly isn’t

He’s not even sat up straight they’ve got him reclined in a bouncer and he’s very clearly still got his tongue thrust reflux

Absolute madness

I have 3 kids aged 26, 25 and 16. The older two were weaned at 3 months as that was the way we were told to do it back then. By the time my youngest was born a whole load of ‘rules’ had changed, including weaning. My son therefore didn’t get weaned until almost 6 months. Happy to report they are all thriving, healthy and well.

Yeah I know I’m too old to be watching MIC .. but #guiltypleasure

PS Not Maevas biggest fan at all, but weaning guidelines do seem to go through changes over the years
