Hey everyone 👋 I am more of a lurker on this thread but I have a theory I wanted to share (slightly odd topic after all the tea - I’ve just been sat here with my popcorn the last 24 hours lol)
Anyways as we all know Jade loves to pride herself on being so business savvy and financially minded I wonder if this extended social media break is on purpose to reduce her earnings from her channel over the next year in the run up to the divorce so that if it was ruled that Matt was entitled to a portion of it she could give him less?
this is purely speculation by the way I know absolutely sweet FA about divorce law!

Not a bad theory! I'm not sure what the legality behind that would be. I'm pretty sure that it's illegal to move your money put of your accounts in order to prevent your ex from getting any of it during a divorce, I wonder if deliberately reducing your income would sort of be included in that?

I'm genuinely not sure that Jade is thinking along those lines right now though lol! I think this extended break all started with the tweets, and as more stuff has come out she's just finding it harder and harder to claw her way back with a modicum of dignity.

I live in the next county, only a 20 min boat ride away but I don't know if I could justify the extortionate boat costs just to get the goss. Is there a Tattle expenses I could put the tickets on? 😆

I am sure deliberately reducing earnings would be frowned upon but she could probably/possibly disguise it under mental healtb/needing time away from it. I dunno?

Hell, they BOTH played a part for the camera as it was a "business" and not really for them to just showcase their real life. I do think it was all Jade's idea and Matt kinda got sucked into it and probably didn't mind playing a part because I'm sure all the freebies rolling in was fun at first. BUT, I don't think Matt hid his true feelings off camera to Jade, she just downplayed it or downright ignored it.

The SIL posting here under a different name about the kids was strictly for us to know they are reading here, as it is stupid for her to think the wiki pic was getting any more views that other places online-but momma bears will do their thing so I can't blame her. I would be very surprised to find out that her hubby and/or Matt were unaware she posted on tattle.

As for the wedding, yes, getting second does give you a chance to make it better, but usually by 6-9 months out you've already got it all set and aren't going to change things. I can see it bothering certain people to have someone else swoop in and rush a ceremony just to be first, but personally I wouldn't care at all, as marriage ISN'T about the party.

Ive noticed guys, especially when young, often tolerate a lot from girls and often fall into the worship/do whatever she wants thing. But as they get older they realise that this isn't a healthy way to live/be treated and don't want the rest of their lives to be like that. Especially when it's not reciprocal.

Tbf, that is really shitty for Jade. She might have confided and trusted in SIL and been good friends, only to find out now that she was on here absolutely slamming her at the same time. We all know how senstive she is when it comes to Tattle as well.

Clearly SIL is jealous, no doubt in my mind. Why would you come here to begin with? I mean I might have a look but to actually set up an account etc is weird!

Don't get me wrong, I think Jade has done alot she needs to address and apologise for but ultimately you can't base their whole relationship off a few vlogs and no-one knows exactly what happened. The whole Team Matt thing I don't get. No-one knows what happened, but if he was unhappy he clearly hasn't communicated it properly and allowed her to behave in that way. Also find it weird how he said how much he liked Disney and then deleted it all - makes me wonder whether he put on a show for Jade that he just couldn't keep doing. Either way she felt blind sided by a divorce, her influencer career is crumbling and she's finding out people have betrayed her. Bit grim. Can't help but feel a bit sorry for her, but I am known to be a sucker!

What confuses me is that when Matt left her, she unfollowed his brother and sister-in-law… but still hasn’t unfollowed Matt. I get that she might be upset that they were aware and probably gave him somewhere to stay but it’s so strange. Are they more involved? I would still pay money to see her reaction when he told her and whether or not the table was thrown in anger! Surely something must’ve pushed him off the edge, I wonder if it was more laughing in his face.

I also find it interesting that in her statement she wrote “we were always very happy”… well, maybe she was happy and/or maybe she’s delusional. In that video “so much has happened” Matt is clearly pissed and she’s just laughing so maybe she thought he was finding it humorous too but anyone could see how pissed he was and she edited that and thought “yeah that’s really good footage!” 😬😬

Seems like Jade and SIL were both jealous of each other for different reasons, because there is no one I have every did the oh no, your so beautiful thing back and forth with. It's almost creepy and certainly doesn't feel genuine at all.

Once families start expanding into the in-laws, there is always some who pretend to be all chummy but are slamming you behind your back, which I think both Jade and SIL were doing from day one. I'm sure SIL, who looks from pics to be just as pretty as Jade, took the marriage date fiasco as maybe her last straw and gave up on liking Jade at all and starting checking things out here and then the temptation to post was just too much to control after a while.

I don't think we know either way who exactly is to blame as we can't take her statements as fact since they are coming from a catty place, and Jade will probably never say a word because we all know how she likes to play the victim. I do think SIL is just gloating over the break up.

I also wonder why Jade insisted on rushing the wedding after all that time living together just to be first , and why Matt waited sooooo long to propose in the first place - as in he saw plenty of red flags but didn't have the backbone to stand up to her at that point and gave in. Maybe him holding off on proposing was his only control mechanism over Jade's behavior.

What Mark81 said above about the guys doing the worship thing with girls when they are young is so true, I've seen that shit show go down many many times and it always ends up in divorce later on when the guy realizes they just can't emotionally deal with constantly catering to the whims of their wife.

Of course, every adult has a choice on how they act every day. If you wake up and decide to "fake it" over and over again, you are just as much as fault as the other person - but I don't believe for a second that Matt didn't let Jade know how he felt and him leaving was the only way for him to finally get his point across.

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. I mean some people never marry and that’s completely fine. But when that was eventually what they both wanted, it’s strange that he waited 8 years. Like you said maybe he did see the red flags then too but wanted to give Jade what she missed growing up as her parents were divorced. As we know, she loves to play the victim

He probably told her in different ways but she was too self-centred and delusional to see it and just giggled at everything
