Her food knowledge is actually very poor. She can hide that when it's online as she can Google stuff before replying or just type "yes!". But on live TV it really shows how crap she is.

It's super annoying isn't it? Because if people listen to her they are going to duck their starter up and waste flour, which is not a good thing right now.

I'm rather angry about it. And you do not use yoghurt in the starter. Mindless bint!

She is terrible, Matt is dragging her along. I think after today I am done. She really doesn’t have the knowledge that she thinks she does.

I can’t be doing with her use of the word fancy. The word your are looking for Jack is flavoursome adding herbs and spices will add flavour and mean that your time spent cooking wasn’t wasted.

Matt has zero respect for her ideas and currently desperate for this lock down to end so he doesn’t have to pander to tinned salmon and bottled lemon juice when he knows that fresh lemons and fresh fish is easier to get hold of.

Thing is spices are so fundamental. Even in the days we were throwing our piss out of windows people would of been using fennel, salt, wild garlic. Things like dandelion.
You can also get them so cheap. Go to a grocer set up for say Indians, or Eastern asian consumers. You get get them for pennies. I have one beside me which you take in your own tubs and it's by grams.

Potato bread is fairly easy to make, I used to eat loads of it as a kid. Not much to it.

Try it with a handful of fresh dill.

Before this programme I naively never even realised cookery presenters used autocue - now it’s.so.blindingly.obvious.

I have only been making sourdough for three weeks (I know what a cliche) and I could have explained it better than that.

Also the way she was talking about her son was uncomfortable. I know it was meant to be funny but it came off as harsh and dismissive.
