You know what? Sometimes I think I need to stay away from this thread, because seeing these reminders of Jack’s chronic and pathological lying does something to my blood pressure.

The supermarket manager story? I’m not even going to address the story about just happening across them putting Jack’s book in the #1 spot, because that obviously didn’t happen; I want to talk about the manager apparently telling her that she’d “never amount to anything”.

Firstly, supermarket managers aren’t teachers teleported from the 1970s.

Secondly, supermarket managers only care that you’re able to do your job, be pleasant to customers, and not nick from the tills. They don’t give a shiny shite about your life aspirations.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she never actually worked in a supermarket.

Bloody hell, the Armed Forces of good Ol’ Blighty haven’t half changed since Big Chocco’s day. Back then the chaps were resourcefully boiling sweaty bags of eggy veg in kettles.

Does she have a single facial expression that isn't thinly veiled contempt?

Incidentally, a video just popped up on my Instagram feed where a psychologist talks about how people with highly narcissistic traits think that injustice = them not getting their own way, which is why their moral compass is completely fucked (I think he said it more eloquently than that). It's the only reason she ever got into anti-poverty "campaigning" isn't it - she had a kid, was a nightmare at her little nepo fire service job and the world didn't fall at her bleeping feet so clearly she's the victim of a great hardship and not, you know, her own behaviour.
