I'm just glad Jack never treated us to her own version of MacArthur Park when Harold LEFT. In much the same way that her burbling about garlic was a poor imitation of Carol Ann Duffy, imagine the horrors of her warbling about the prune, anchovy and instant stuffing mix loaf someone left out in the rain, all the foul brown icing flowing down, and the pieces of her charred and tattered heart carelessly tossed among the remains.

I
went to see Trevor and Simon at the Fringe years ago, and when they came on stage they were dressed as monks and seemed to glide really quickly across the floor. It took me ages to work out that underneath their floor length robes, they were on little scooters, with fake arms on their costumes. I found it so, so funny.

They are brilliant. ❤️

Wild rose, yeah. Murder Ballads was also the album with red right hand, stagger Lee and the one with PJ Harvey where her character murders his. A lot of those songs were based on old folk songs. A lot of blue grass and Appalachian folk songs are basically about murder. Fun stuff as you say.

I love Trevor and Simon. They turned up as Swedish hikers in Rab C Nesbitt 🤣

Also loved this from a kids show (Live and Kicking perhaps). One week Jobe pickled a cowpat and it looked a damn sight better than guest slop.


Someone mentioned Guest as a plumber. I know the right company
