All this fuss about going to the bloody supermarket, something most people do at least once a week, she’s treating it like a trek up the Amazon. And the stocktake 🤦‍♀️ don’t most people have a quick look around the kitchen like…I’ve got mince and chicken in the freezer, need more peas, need onions, those courgettes won’t last much longer so better eat them tonight, got spaghetti but I want to make macaroni cheese so better get macaroni, Wednesday needs to be a quick dinner so I’ll get pizzas…then they go out. Who the hell has the time or inclination to weigh, measure and write down every last item?

Surely to Christ she’s not admitting she has all this food in the house? And she has the bleeping gall to pretend her rent bounces and that she’s therefore poor? You could see her level of cognitive dissonance from outer space.
Wow, I thought I had really well stocked cupboards and freezer. For someone who has apparently poverty stricken for months/years and unable to pay the rent or heat her huge 2-storey semi-derelict bungalow, she certainly has a lot of supplies to feed one person, and that's before a "big shop".

She has a lot of overpriced hats too because she'd rather buy a mass-produced brand than something handmade or produced by a small businesses.

Hoy, you could make actual, edible food out of that lot! Why is it always Grim Gourmet?
I thought tit was getting "serious" the other night on the lack of food front. You were akin to the empty shelved Poors (that really peed me off).

Oh, just the last couple of weeks for a performance on Twitter. Have a great day!

I’ve personally always thought loose veg is overpriced which is a shame as it’s much more eco friendly to buy loose stuff. The only exception might be super six stuff. In my local Morrison a loose pepper is 45p and a bag of wonky peppers is 99p for six. I know the wonky stuff is cheaper as well because it’s the stuff that doesn’t make the cut. The only veg I tend to buy loose as it were are cauliflower and to be honest it’s a shame that there’s so much packaging wrapped around veg. That’s another conversation but if loose veg were cheaper I would buy that every time to save the plastic.

I don’t do a stocktake of anything. Not what I have. Not what I need. I’m one of these people who doesn’t write a shopping list either.

Here we go. Same old tit different day.

I spec bruv and dad popped round to take her shopping...

I was wondering about this. She says on Twitter that she does a big shop for tins etc once or twice a month. This makes no sense to me, because she doesn't have a car.
We also don't have a car, so we buy heavy stuff like tins, bottles of oil, rice a few at a time, when needed because going on a big shop is just too damn heavy. Even if there's a bus top right outside the supermarket, you still have to carry it all onto the bus and then from the bus to the house and it's knackering. And I don't even have arthritis...

If I had told a friend that I had nothing in and then told them I had 2 KILOS of chicken in the house, they would rightfully think I had gone bananas. How can you look at that list and think “yeah better send her a tenner poor lamb.”
She’s got more food than me, there’s 2 of use here this weekend and I would consider us quite well stocked.
If I could change my username I’d change it to 27cupasoups.

Hello to all the lurkers who've now become new cabal members. 👋 🥰 What was the point at which our fave smol pixie made you think something was off (apart from her slop)?
Do tell! X
I was lurking on a Alice Evans thread… I came to look out of curiosity, thinking you were all meanies and what could the smol pixie have possibly done to offend… then my eyes were opened! As a former (real) single parent who lived in poverty, I was properly p’d off to discover the pixie’s exploits.
But I also stayed for the hilarity and multiple hooting opportunities.

here you are jack, this is what you said you were out of the other night. hth 🥰

except you seem to have acquired spinach and tomatoes since then... 🧐

What exactly is the reason that she doesn’t get deliveries? Is this part of the poverty cosplaying? Does she think to be authentic she has to walk to the supermarket in the rain?
