I actually got quite excited when saw the red lentil and coconut milk because a red lentil and coconut dal is one of my favourite foods. I really don't see the need to add mash since it is already a soft dish and really cheap. I can make a huge pot of it (about 4 main meal portions) for 60p lentils, 65p, 20p onion and maybe about 25p in spices.

The mash s just going to make it bland and instant mash also has a strange flavour to it.She said she used turmeric and garlic only. I use turmeric, garlic and ginger powder, coriander and cumin seeds and some chilli so it actually has some taste and isn't like baby food.

I like mash (a lot), not instant 🤢, I also like fish, and eat fish pie, but that 🤢 why? What on earth made her think that would work? Has she got a bingo type machine that spits out random ingredients 🤷‍♀️

I’m a little late to the party as I’ve been out et… partying like 34 year olds do (I’ve been lying in bed kinda wanting a wee for the last hour but also too cosy to get up) and I am shooketh, SHOOKETH I TELL YOU that she’s actually admitted it!! Jack Monroe of On a Bootstrap Ltd has not paid her taxes!?!! I kind of joked along but thought she must’ve just not done her accounts. Her excuse? tit. JEBUS CHRIST.

Yup, probably. I think she's on very sticky ground with the t-shirt money personally, that's going to be counted as her earnings which she has then donated to charity. It'll also count as turnover for VAT purposes, although I assume because of the way Teemill works it'll only be the royalty rather than the full selling price of the t-shirt/bag/whatever.
