Because really, she's a very boring person, and makes up stories to sound more interesting. Unfortunately, these stories make her money, so makes up even more dramatic ones. She can't keep up her Pov Princess act if she's known to be buying all things, but gifting is just fine (even if it really was a gift to herself from herself - although I guess she has so many faces, it's like getting a present from someone else!)

She's not bothering to promote these either.

She wrote her book on an old Nokia… never heard of a library??? She could have just shadowed a poor for day for accuracy.
Method actors put in more effort for a film role, she is playing this role for life.

It's crackers. At this points her parents knew about The Poverty. Why didn't she go around to theirs and type it up. I'm sure there would be one laptop or desktop in an expensive 5 bed detached property.

There's an abandoned house down the road from me, the owner vanished about 15 years ago, and it's all overgrown, filled with rubbish and slowly falling to bits. There used to be a notice taped inside the front window from SSE saying they got a locksmith to open the front door so they could read the meter, the lock had been changed and please contact the number below to arrange collection of the new key. It disintegrated and fell off the window a few years back, so I doubt anyone ever picked them up. There's now a new notice taped to the outside saying the property is under the care of The Factor's Office with a phone number to call if you have any information about it, but when I rang it I got a message saying 'This number is no longer in use', which is intensely annoying because I want to buy it and restore it back to a lovely family home. No company with that name on Companies House either.
