Afraid not - that would have been the first day Companies House could strike her company off, but because of the intervention (we assume from HMRC) the strike off action has been suspended.
Re: breaking in for meters - that has happened in my village. There's an abandoned house down the road from me, the owner vanished about 15 years ago, and it's all overgrown, filled with rubbish and slowly falling to bits. There used to be a notice taped inside the front window from SSE saying they got a locksmith to open the front door so they could read the meter, the lock had been changed and please contact the number below to arrange collection of the new key. It disintegrated and fell off the window a few years back, so I doubt anyone ever picked them up. There's now a new notice taped to the outside saying the property is under the care of The Factor's Office with a phone number to call if you have any information about it, but when I rang it I got a message saying 'This number is no longer in use', which is intensely annoying because I want to buy it and restore it back to a lovely family home. No company with that name on Companies House either.
