Grunkaing, but she's swiped the soup idea from the book based on a show Sir Matt and Susannah Reid did called 'Save Money: Good Food'
 
I think I mentioned this previously and would like us to pursue this in some way. If it isn’t allowed then fair enough but could we perhaps choose a charity to support for the sloppies to give some donations? Not wanting to do a Jack and announce our donations with post it notes but thought it could be a nice thing for us to do in the festive season? We could donate the price we saved on not visiting independent five guys by donating to a food bank? Obviously not sure how we could do without 🔺 but think it could be nice.

First of all, she won’t reply.
Second of all, if she does it will be to recommend you buy the value range of everything and wrap bollock sausages in cooking bacon.
Here’s an idea for a thrifty anything- do extra mash. Do mash in different flavours. Cheap, easy, filling.
 
Jack's advice: get someone to gift you seven slow cookers. Shrivel a poorly plucked yellow chicken. Give vegans compost bin scraps blended with a tin of Del Monte mandarins. Don't serve roasties because everyone is totally fine without them and not saying that to prevent more whining about how unthankful you all are when you (the chef) have the longest long COVID and still single-handedly slaved away in a tepid kitchen to create such an incredible festive spread GOD you INGRATES.

I LOVE risotto. It’s my go to comfort food and easy to make with odds and ends. Im no chef but that is NOT risotto. It’s some kind of fishy rice medley. Risotto is arborio rice. Risotto is delicious and hearty and …. That is gross. Also packet rice is spenny, Jack.

At risk of severe 🔺, but if we do may I humbly suggest Crisis. I’m volunteering in *insert specific service* as usual this year and donations would really help people genuinely in need (and often genuinely experiencing addiction, if you’re reading Jack…)
