Just 40 weeks ago, the pain of the poverty was so ingrained it hurt like a whole load of GCSE English Lit course work word salad and that’s why she’s so thirsty sorry thrifty. (if anyone wants a good hoot, frugal tips saved on her stories on IG are hilarious)

She must think thrift = DIY? Like to her spending £600 on a Cotswolds chest of drawers and then £60 on new mismatching handles from Anthropologie = thrifty? When really not stuffing your house to the rafters with furniture is probably the thrifty alternative?

Prior to this career low she’s in, she didn’t even need to be thrifty just savvy. In 2012 if she’d have put a deposit down on a flat she’d undoubtedly have a shit ton of equity in it by now & could have made use of the stamp duty holiday and upsized to the next house and only been one away from the ✨forever home✨ then! Hindsight is 50/50 admittedly but can’t understand how 2 Burberry coats & the 101 hun Mulberry bag would have ever seemed like a priority when you’re a single mum to a toddler? Is this the opposite of ch5’s feckless poor content?

She rly is a personal finance sleep paralysis demon isn’t she.

Weren't they 'community skips'? Something I've never come across.
We're looking at doing it in our tiny village next spring. Basically our village hall is a registered charity, so will apply for a community grant to get two big skips, put one at each end of the village for a fortnight, and anyone in the village who wants to put rubbish in them can do so.

I've got a skip coming in a fortnight's time because I've got so much outdoor junk to get rid of - I'm talking bits of old fencing, broken sheep hurdles, empty oil drums etc. etc. Mr F is very good at hoarding things 'just in case they're useful' but we're hopefully having a lot of building work done early next year and we need the space for the builders to park in!

It's just so funny / tragic that the glossies go to her for *money management tips* (https://www.stylist.co.uk/money/jack-monroe-saving-budgeting-tips/481398) when she's constantly talking about not being able to pay her RENT (and conversely not talking about not paying her taxes) and confesses to opening her bills 8 years after receiving them. Whilst simultaneously spending God knows what at the Cotswolds Co and spunking upwards of £100 for one crappy Halloween. But I guess even that's just a drop in the ocean when you think about the £££ dayhab and 16 weeks in a London aparthotel.

I dont know but from what shes posts her bills seem to take a back seat to stuff.

She always talks about bills mounting, unopened letter etc, but have you seen my new blender?

I always pay bills first and then buy the cheap tat i want.

She reminds of me of a teen when they get birthday money to spend all on them. I think she expects her wages to be the same, wouldn't it be bliss but unrealistic.

A while ago I reported someone who I share a council-owned plot of land with for the state the animals are kept in. I made the report anon for various safety reasons but given I felt the animals were not having their basic needs met I couldn't let it slide. I am also confident I'm not the first person to report, there are likely many ninnies who also share that space.
A snotty post from him then went up on the social media group shared by all the attendants. The attitude was shocking and they were hugely defensive like "whoever reported me you thought you would win but you haven't keep out of my business" etc etc. My complaint wasn't rude or mean either, it was factual based on what I observed when I was face to face with the situation. Their business was there right in front me, just like public Twitter and Instgram posts are there for all to see.

It reminded me a lot of Jack and how she responds to people who give very legitimate concerns whether it's squiggles, my beloved viggles or us indirectly on here. We all care about our various hills that we die on whether it's Patreon, the use of 'feral', Dash or any other numbers of things. I care more about those animals on that land than I do how butthurt that person is that they have received legitimate criticism. If I was being a huge shit about something and was wanging on about it on social media or leaving it outside for people to see I would expect to be criticised too.

And yeah, if I see those animals in that state again, you bet I'm making another complaint. I'm a mithering fucking ninny.

Reading it again, the Diva article is one big advert for the rehab centre, maybe to get herself a tidy discount on treatment? She paints a picture of it being like a friendly summer camp, activities and fun! When rehab is hard work and takes time for unhealthy habits to change.
