Lol, as it’s an American site I think 4th July might be our next hat day. Given that Jack lives in America, with people calling Child Protective Services on them and having to live off food stamps, I will ensure I make a Jackface avatar. It’s what Jack would have wanted x

The trifle defender's love of food can be genuinely felt when they post their recipes, so much respect for them and I hope they continue to succeed in their career.

I don't know how much clout JM has in the industry but after the Manchester evening news article I do worry in case her being linked to tattle could affect her ability to network, since we know this site is not beloved by the blue ticks of twitter, so if she does have an account I hope she doesn't reveal it and stays untriangulateable.

She has had months to prepare for this. She recruited an Accountant/Sunday School teacher to assist. LJC could undoubtedly point her in the direction if he wasn’t available but she just can’t deal with important things in the here and now. I know next to nothing about ADHD and don’t doubt for a second that could have contributed if it’s applicable here…but if a person chooses not to factor in their difficulties then things will go wrong.

IMHO she is a procrastinator and a daydreamer, always looking for a distraction rather than do another cookbook or do her taxes or apologise to people. She’s also got a (left over chippy) chip on her shoulder that I too think contributes to her problems.

Whatever is occupying her weeks just now, I hope it’ll help her identify her strengths and weaknesses. But she’ll have to tackle this head on, burying her head in the sand will only make things worse.

I’m wondering if the tidying the room video came from her trying to work on her defects? Idk, it strikes me as something someone would put into the “what gets on your nerves that you can do something about today?” I’m sure I’m reading wayyyy too much into this!

I agree. I think I am projecting my own self fear on to her. Seeing all the work mess, makes me uneasy.

Also i Personally don't think she is well liked in professional circles. I think she gets the jobs because she attractive, a bit quirky and probably a good talking point( let's face it she can talk bollocks forever) . I think her colleagues tire of her very easily therefore no callbacks, she is rarely seen with the same person twice or involved in the same niche. ( Its lucky she has so many)

She WAS getting work because people felt sorry for her.
On the surface the back story is heartbreaking.
Those who have actually worked with her quickly get an Eureka moment when they realise what a carcrash of a human she is.
Even then she would still get work if she was professional and turned out decent product, which she doesn't.
Every single person she's worked with have run a mile. She's never got the same gig twice, with the tiny exception of This Morning who finally saw the light after the lingreenie debacle.
She's also been erased from The Guardian's website. It may be me being thick, but I genuinely can't find any trace of her on there. She's not listed and none of her articles are there.
Not even the legend that was 'Potatoes'

The article about Yasha Ali retweeted by the trifle defender was very interesting about the power conferred by seeming 'vulnerable' on Twitter

The original tweeter of the article (which Trifle Defender retweeted) wrote an article a while back that condemned grifters, tip jar etc. She also heavily implied Jack was who she was alluding to in the article.
More people than we know are awake to the gift...
