I’ve heard people pronounce Sean Seen, but that’s usually cos they aren’t aware of its proper pronunciation. As with many Irish/ Gaelic names, saying them as you see them isn’t usually correct, so it just doesn’t work in my head 😅
Oh God I remember the first time I saw the name Caoimhe and I felt my brain shut down! Some names are so common over here now though I don't know how people don't know how to pronounce them? I was working in an office last year and I was helping someone research some details for a report on Storm Ciara, which they insisted was pronounced as 'Sierra'. I was there replying each time, 'It's KEER-A'.

Still very confused and grateful for anyone who can help, would the red spring onions taste different to white spring onions (have only ever had white ones)? If not, does it matter?

I think this is Jack, for some reason, trying to show off about their knowledge/possession of red spring onions. But now I do want to know if would make any difference at all.
I have now realised that I am now googling red spring onions 😳

Yes! The storm Ciara thing was a real revelation, even newscasters were pronouncing it wrong. I didn’t even KNOW there was another way to say it 😂

ps yes @Orphan_Black where is she? What is she up to? It’s not like her to be so quiet!

That’s one i don’t know how to pronounce. Has it got a v sound in it?

I worked with a woman who could not get her head around Irish names, the day she told me she was looking for Seeoobarn it honestly took me about 5 awkward minutes before it clicked she wanted Siobhan. I clocked on quicker when she was looking for Birdie (Bridie) and Nee-am-uh (Niamh).

The American singer Ciara pronounces it like Sierra. But she comes from a country where they can't say Graham or Craig, so...

Come back, smol pixie, we need more chaos. Please no livetweeting the runs this time though.

Where I come from (extremely pointy triangulation here) spring onions are called jibbons. And on topic, maybe the silence is because someone has realised that the data squiggle is actually a potentially very big problem even though they don't have a blue tick, and a copypasta apology is not going to be enough to get it to go away?
I’m glad you posted this. I wanted to but thought it was spelt “gibbons “, and then fraus would think I was talking about monkeys/primates.
Ps, we probably come from the same area👍

I don't think Jack has ever deep cleaned her kitchen. If she had she would know it takes a good couple of hours, depending on the size of your kitchen. If you were to do this 12 times a day, you would be cleaning every hour of every day.

A cursory glance using something incredible called 'human eyeballs' confirms that Jack barely cleans, let alone deeply.

Thanks for kind words @HotesTilaire I am very happy at the moment 😁
