Hiya Fraus,

I've not been keeping up with the threads lately but was wondering, what did Jack actually do this week? As far as I can see, she made a racket on Twitter, did a few TV interviews and that was it? Correct me if I'm wrong, but she didn't seem to actually do anything, apart from tweet and retweet...?
Her bezzy Marky didn't even get her to sign his letter.

I read the Guardian article and I feel as if my eyes have become permanently fixed in the back of my head from rolling them so much. Reckon the writer fancies her, or at least wants in on her extensive Coltswold sideboard collection.

OMG, Jack, a few months ago cauliflower was $1.90, now it's $7.90 Almost as if there might be seasonal differences, different growers, different growing locations, Brexit, covid19, and many other factors going on. It's not some sinister plot to keep the poors away from garlic (although I'll admit I'm not paying that much for cauli either. The frozen stuff has stayed price level)

Jack, you don’t need to use Twitter as your personal messaging site. If you’ve WhatsApped her, she fricking knows already!

Unless...unless you’re using Twitter to virtue signal what a supportive chum and thoroughly good egg you are? I’m sure you can note that down as at least an hour of work.
 
How does she keep regurgitating the same nonsense?
Maybe a simple google search of marketing 101 terms like ‘inflation’ and ‘loss leader’ could help her understand pricing. I have taught economics to 14 & 15 year olds who have intellectual disabilities and still can comprehend these concepts and apply them.
 
Morning, so many posts again! I agree with everyone who says she has a really strage idea of what her income should be/ what she should be able to afford. My own kids are, like Jack, around the super rich because of where I work (they get free school places with my job) and they think we are poor because we have a shared swimming pool and only a live out maid. There are kids with private jets, polo ponies memebers of the royal family etc. When we were online for 6 months a boy in my daughter's class was logging on from a golden palace in Europe. I imagine Jack feels like this and had nobody to tell her when she is being ridiculous, which I do every time my daughters act hard done by. I think that the key to many many of Jack's issues is that she trusts nobody to tell her when she is being a dick.

Same.

If she was a stakeholder, she’d be oblivious if a company sent her an email. She famously doesn’t open those either! Perhaps they would have to send a pigeon or attach a note to Cooper’s collar (if he had one) to communicate with her.

£400 is my mortgage. It's a flat from the 60s it needed alot of work. No tip jar necessary to buy it. Tho much like jack the bank of dad helps out from time to time 😂

One of my very first posts on here was in the MOD thread when they were discussing how BAME women on the maternity ward would feel knowing what she'd said about Candice (and actually, much like Jack using her ailments to end an argument, I do believe CB sometimes "brings it back to race" when race has nothing to do with whatever is going on). And I thought.. if CH was/is a racist then I'd rather know about it than not? There could have been other midwives on the wards holding similar or worse views in private.. and at least with CH you'd know where you stood 🤷‍♀️

(I do not want to get into what or who is or isn't racist btw).

Jack is a bellend but I'd respect her more if she was honest, even if I disagreed with her.

Let me tell you it from us ‘feral’s point of view. In care more than once a year from being a baby, first actual memory was sitting at the breakfast table and been given the rind off the bacon instead of the actual bacon as it was ‘tastier’. Then there were the 3 actual children at another place who punched me each morning on the way to school, I was 5. The woman who wouldn’t let us play with the games as they belonged to her granddaughters who we had to say welcome to and make them a drink every time they entered the house. The stay in the children’s home where an older girl said if I mentioned my mum, this was a week or two after my dad had died, she would stab me. Then the sexual abuse from the older son of my favourite foster parent. But we were ‘feral’ so didn’t count.

Ugh,

For someone who claims to be FORENSIC, she really has no basic research skills, has she? Making lots of noise to the Department of Education who owe her answers, pronto! (Of course, she only asks these things via Twitter for the world to see. Twitter is her favourite stage after all)

Also, from someone who loves to go on about basic ranges and price hikes, you'd think she'd know about actual research that happens at UK government departments, universities and NGOs (like the minimum income standard calculated by this group, or how data on in rent increases in the private sector are gatherd to correct the housing benefits*), or at least knows some basic economic statistics to put her own findings into context. Oh wait, that would take the spotlight of her, how could I forget?

*just some examples I've come accross in my own work, very incomplete list therefore.
