Nooo, nothing good for her, it would just make for cringe conversations at Del Monte and/or their ad agency tbh. <Triangulation emoji I can never find> but in my younger years I had an awful job at one of the big ad agencies & would do these things, there was always one massive lump of tit you had to try and cover up, tattle will be hers 😂

This however is assuming anyone at Del Monte is capable of basic campaign measurement, which guessing by their choice in ambassador is..... very wishful thinking....

Sorry this is probably a really boring answer lol and only my experience in media & fashion but honestly it’s because marketing teams still largely operate in a silo from commercial & data teams? And where they’re “investing in data” it’s bare bones & overstretched supporting huge commercial decisions rather than small campaign level stuff, which whilst she’s probably getting paid £x0,000s is a drop in the ocean for Del Monte’s total marketing spend. And then wrt to social data you either need to buy licenses to expensive products that can do this work for you (you then need analysts or marketeers au fait with this, who are more expensive) or a super expensive analyst who knows Python themselves but is limited to a sample of last 3k tweets. Most big legacy brands are not truly about that data life so will waste a fortune on influencer marketing this way 🤷🏻‍♀️ Marketing fraus are better placed to spill this tea tho x

One of my highlights was when our cheeky little uno was so dedicated to meeting her book draft deadline and staying off Twitter that she.... ended up tweeting from inside a skip. Wow.

Watched most of the MR documentary. What a gentle lovely soul. I teared up at a lot of bits. When his Mum said that you just don’t tell people you can’t afford food, it’s not the done thing 😭
When the narrator said, “...and then Marcus was contacted by a high profile food poverty campaigner...” my heart stopped - I thought THIS IS IT! Luckily it was someone else - too scared to try a ‘spoiler’ thing 😂

Going to the supermarket is a whole new experience as I now always have a look at Del Monte and without fail always have a supressed laughter and giggle about Mel Donte. But it has not made me buy their stuff. Sorry but not sorry, too expensive.

I wasn't aware that mentioning Del Monte in our teeny tiny coven of bullies would lead squiggles to us. I made a clumsy joke and tried to get Del Monte as many times in one post as possible!

As lovely as the £10k donation is, and better than anything I’ve done as a mere individual I’m aware, I worry when brands hire self proclaimed activists and make relatively minor (as a % of their turnover or profits) donation to charity it is done solely to disguise advertorial content... like I don’t think these are the words of someone who understands Jack is taking payment for this work?

I still remember her asking for advice on cutting her brother’s hair during lockdown and then going tonto because people had the audacity to suggest that it wasn’t really in the spirit of remaining isolated at home. Surprising, really, considering she’s “practically ~neurotic~“ about it.
