I think @heretoreaditall2019 triangulated their very small and siloed UK social media/marketing team but even still I'm shocked. Hopefully it's a campaign they will build up as content is created but I'm surprised none of us have yet received any targeted paid posts for example. I know it early days but I think a lot of the frauen are the core demographic - probably follow a lot of foodie accounts etc. If you're chucking a lot of money at a campaign (and from the charidee donation it seems they are) then they need to equally invest in promotion. I'm also surprised Jack has only done one post and no stories. I know its only been two days and you don't want to oveewhelm but it is a big launch of a 6 month campaign! I'm also very surprised they didnt at least launch it with some recipes.

Aren't you supposed to rest in a darkened room with migraines? Doesn't look too dark there. Plus isn't it a bit odd to take pictures of someone who is ill when they are asleep and trying to recover? Surely you would want to let her be and keep quiet and out of her way.

The migraine was bad enough to break out the serious pain, so she obviously left the frivolous ones in the packet. It is almost as if she didn't have a migraine and just wanted a picture taken with the cat.......again (boring).

When my brother in law has a migraine he retreats and just wants to be alone in the dark, no noise, no people.



Are migraines on the ailment list?

I've had a migraine once in my life. Anything else has just been a headache. I've never felt anything like it. I certainly wouldn't be rolling about in my bed grinning and gurning. Y'know what...I'm starting to think she might be exaggerating about some of her ailments! :LOL: :rolleyes:

I'm glad you said this, I was thinking the exact same thing! The Del Monte shot and the bed selfie last night, in both her nose looks bigger to me, really different. Must be the editing (or lack of)? 🤷 Unless she really has just told too many fibbies now...
 
She did this exact same thing when she got the Hellman’s gig, I seem to recall: near-silence on Twitter and very bland, cat-dominant content on Insta.

I think that while it’s partially to keep her powder dry in terms of bad behaviour, it’s mainly a tactic to lie by omission so that she can conveniently fail to mention her 6 month deal with a major brand to her main source of pity money. She hasn’t said a word about Del Monte on Twitter. There are huge numbers of her middle-aged and older followers who don’t use Instagram and have no desire to. Once the deal is over and the invoice is sent, she can go straight back to talking about how hard it is not knowing where the next paycheque will come from and claiming that butter isn’t within the budget.

Exactly, she knows she’d probably get a lot more flack on Twitter too. Easier to control the narrative on Instagram.
Instagram = pretty photos (of slop)
Twitter = shouty people full of opinion

I get migraines too but they were worse when I was younger. I’ve tried lots of different pain (some *serious* ones too) and finally found one that tends to shift it. The last thing I want to do even once the headache is gone is pose. But then that’s not me at any time.

I can’t help but think the wording of serious pain is the same “I’ve got everything so much harder than you” bullshit. “My doctor has never seen such a terrible migraine, he’s never prescribed these serious pain before....”

This campaign seems so odd to me. DelMonte was always high end for tinned fruit. I have never bought it. I don’t understand who they are aiming for with this. The rich blue tickers can afford anything they want. Like fresh fruit . I would imagine that they aren’t that bothered about keeping tins in. If the DelM people had done the research they would have noticed things like the people she engages with on SM. The inappropriate posts. The whole thing. I wouldn’t want my brand to be associated with Jackoliesconstantly. I do wonder if with the state of things in the New Year there will be a push on tinned fruit..but again, it won’t bother some people and others couldn’t afford expensive tins of fruit anyway.
