York isn't a big city but I reckon houses like that would be about 1-2 miles out so not far but not actual city centre.

"Well presented" houses like that seem to have sold for up to 450-495, doer uppers seem to have sold for anything from 290 to 350 ETA well done the Tattler who found the actual house - not a doer upper price!
