We are getting an antisematism task force after someone torched a synagogue in Melbourne.
This is terrible, two people were injured. There is no need for this sort of violence from either side here.

Netanyapuh has blamed to Oz government for backing a two state solution for Palestine for the fire.

Although after Amsterdam it does make you wonder about Mossad involvement.
The Oz government wouldn't know who is Israeli provocateurs.

I genuinely believe that Mossad could be behind it, the current government in Israel are absolute fanatics and see their own people as disposable. What's two peoples lives when compared to the sympathy they will get that they can manipulate for their own gains??

Is my memory right that back when ISIS was everywhere it was the Kurds fighting them and being hit by Assad as well.
They were fighting both.
 
Netanyahu's just done a speech where he's saying that since the 9th of October, he's been saying that they're going to change the face of the middle east - focussing first on the south (Gaza) and then in the north (Lebanon). Boasting about killing Nasrallah. "We are breaking (the axis) apart state by state ... From Iran to Iraq, from Iraq to Syria, from Syria to Lebanon in the south .... The axis has not disappeared yet, but just as I promised, we are changing the face of the Middle East. The state of Israel is establishing its position, its status as a foci, a centre of power in our region, in a way that wasn't the case for decades .... We want to see a different Syria."

Dominic Waghorn did a live report from Syria where he said Israel were bombing every 10 or 15 minutes.

It's a kind of blink-and-you'll-miss-it mention, it's certainly not leading any news reports. On the BBC, a reporter said that it was understandable that they were bombing to make sure there's no weapons Syria can use against them :rolleyes:
 
It appears from the statements that the bombing falls under the same considerations as the "temporary" mobilisation of the IDF into Syrian territory - "securing the safety of Israel."

The thing is, if you are constantly making offensive strikes under the guise of defence, at what point do you have to admit that the mere existence of your neighbours is perceived as a threat to you, and you are acting within that assumption?

They live in fear I don’t know if it’s generational trauma or if they have become emboldened because they have never been punished for their war crimes but they definitely live in fear and their out is to destroy any perceived threat and Oct 7th provided an opportunity for them to go further than they have before.
The Israelis looked weak after the 7th of October and now they’ve become genocidal bullies on steroids, not that they were good before but you know what I mean.
 
Benny comb-over seems to have carte blanche to do whatever he wants. He's making a mockery of international law. If anyone says anything they are immediately 'antisemitic'. Benny comb-over is no better than Putin in my mind. I'm bleeping sick of the dude. He's taking the stand today as a criminal defendant in a corruption trial. No doubt that'll be a farce too.

He’s full of it he’s done everything possible to stall the trial and now he is saying that Israelis will see the truth once and for all and his innocence will be revealed, yeh right if that’s the case what were you stalling for buddy.

I saw yesterday he’s tried to duck out of the trial (again) cos now they’ve opened up a 4th front, not sure if he’s having to stand. He was arguing only the other week that he couldn’t do every day of his trial cos “war” and the court had allowed him to do 3 days each week and he wanted it to start at 10am but the judges said fine but we will sit until 4pm rather than 3pm! So is he actually starting his defence today or did he get out of it?

A convicted criminal as president of the US and possibly a convicted fraudster as prime minister of Israel. What could POSSIBLY go wrong? How the duck did we get here? 1500 words, on my desk by next Monday.
