She has a seemingly quick divorce behind her (so likely a good settlement), and a MS diagnosis (insurance pay off?), also a overseas-move (property sold?). It wouldnt be too surprising if she has cash from those things rather than inheritance (though I see the sister is on a long vacation, and Lin will have some reasons to think that especially given that Alice didnt knew that, so money may indeed be no issue in the family). I mean...a expensive gift doesnt necessarly mean that you are rich (even if some days at Eden Roc will be crazy expensive, I thought too that it may be partly sponsored by the production when we first heard about it) and her whole family works in the tourism business, there may be connections.The Reunion isn't some low budget job. They could pay for Eden-Roc if they wanted to - couldn't it be written off as it's a production expense?

It would be really unlikely that the cast stayed at that hotel during shooting. If they had budget, it was for the production itself, not for lavish accommodation.The Reunion isn't some low budget job. thats not even the issue, the kids have visited him on work trips before, but back then France had very strict quarantine rules and the youngest (perhaps both) was definitely not vaccinated yet, all while school was ongoing (and the youngest having issues), and it would have also probably required a cancer sick Gloria to come with them. Bianca or not those kids were never going to visit him. But of course Alice pushed that narrative regardless.
