My narc ex used to do that until he worked out he could open the door from the outside by sticking a pound coin in the lock outside and simply twist it, so I’d be trapped in there with him…
Narc abusers love to get in their victims’ faces. They allow their prey no time to escape, have space, calm down or have any room to breathe. They love causing feelings of claustrophobia and fear. I personally imagine that he shouted the ‘never film the finale’ line at a different time, probably when Alice was pissed and slurring and being all self-indulgent (imagined conversation: ‘no-one’s ever been as alone as I have. I went to all that effort to get you home and you repay me by abandoning me’, etc, etc). I think he might have said to Alice, when she walrused her way through the bathroom door because she was so furious about being ignored, ‘why the hell can’t you ever, ever leave me the hell alone?’
-Then, when Alice or any other stereotypical narcissist has caused you to have a panic attack and make you doubt your own sanity, they either escalate by hitting you/attacking the space around you, or suddenly become completely normal, affable and cheerful (‘what’s wrong? You need to callm down. So negative. So hysterical. Dear, dear. So sad. This isn’t the person I fell in love with!’). It’s utterly disorientating. This kind of behaviour happens during the late devaluation/segue or leap into the discard phase. I presume she battered the door with a golf club before charging at it like a wounded musx-ox - or carried out the attacks separately, either on the same day or consecutive days, just to screw with his mind a bit more.
She’ll never leave him alone, ever, for the rest of his life - because he dared to flee her without allowing her to dump him first; but my goodness, how good and sweet that free air must’ve tasted when he got outside.
-Welp reckons Alice has wasted 800k of his money (let’s be fair, she brought £30k into it, permanently ‘borrowed’ $100k and drained his bank accounts all along, plus paying for a nanny that a grown woman definitely doesn’t need); he’s overpaid on spousal and child support in addition to the putative thefts; his $750k is dwindling due to therapists, reunification, evaluations/GaL and so on. He might be lucky to end up with $150k if he’s incredibly lucky. So where does Malice expect all this money to support her average, tedious, arrogant, entitled arse to come from - given that she’s had a really good effort at destroying his entire future career? Does she think he shits gold bricks after a fibre-rich breakfast of a morning?
