I think others more in the know about the locality think it is the plot that sells. The house will likely be torn down.
 
I suspect she will agree to the custody the day before the hearing and agree an overall settlement the day before the trial.

No way she will let a judge decide any of it. She will be better off negotiating a settlement but she will of course drag it out until the last minute because that causes Ioan the most stress and costs him the most money.

Think of all the wasted costs so far in the run up to the house sale. It would have cost a fortune for Ioan's submission, her response and Ioan's response to her response. All wasted costs, but she wants to bankrupt him so she will carry on with the financial abuse.

He has been too soft with her, I reckon she’s been threatening all sorts for years and at the back of Ioan’s mind she’s capable of at least feigning attempting it.
She makes a mockery of the whole thing, mental health, physical health, divorce and Co-parenting.

We’ve had to face so much while hurting all over. It was her job to protect her daughters so they could get through the breakdown of their parent’s marriage with as little hurt as possible. The Abuser has caused untold damage to those she professes to love more than anything by her behaviour, and pure cuntishness. You are a bleeping awful mother, woman, and human Abuser and I just don’t give a rat in the Prius’s arse if you end up homeless and destitute. It is nothing less than you deserve after all the misery and damage you have inflicted to those around you.

I checked Zillow. Was wondering what are their (Z)estimates based on.
The house is on the smaller side. Also, with poo lying around and puddles and fences falling down -- would it be easy to sell at all? Currently, it seems to be a buyers' market.

I know, it is rather puerile, but the phrase in the yellow box made me giggle.

I tend to agree, though I hope Ioan stays firm on his position, especially with custody.

It's funny, because I just checked the stipulation they had ready to sign last may (which Alice bailed on) and the differences are really small. 200k per party was proposed back then too (the only difference is that the lawyers get less from the cake now), the 30-day-lease-back stayed as opposed to the 60 days Alice demanded. The only thing she actually got compared to back then was transfering the title in both names lol

I think the only thing the transfer into joint names will give her is the ability to refuse to sign the sale contract when presented with it and mean that Ioan has to go back to court to get the judge to sign it on her behalf (as Betty Broderick did for those who watched it on Netflix) Which he can do but will be more hassle and cost. I can see this being her next move.

Ioan is now poorer than he was last May. So that's a win for this witch. Plus she got another year in WeHo. Her new place won't be.

She has admitted taking a number of prescription pills. She CAN’T donate blood. Not to mention the amounts of alcohol.

I agree on Ioan. I actually disagree on the latter though. If you check the market there are plenty rentals for 2-2.5k in or around WeHo with 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms and a garden (bit more expensive with 3 bedrooms, pool starts from 4k, albeit not in WeHo*). Had she settled early she could have afforded those quite easily (now she still can probably, but it will be tougher) and she would have also had probably no DVRO that would scare off landlords. She has screwed herself and the kids most over in this.

*it's funny that one of Alice's brainless minions once said, told by Alice: "even the worst places in LA cost at least 7k" - in reality 7k is the cheapest house with garden and pool you get in WeHo, her standards are insane.

Ioan has been and is too soft with her. Mainly because he is an empathetic and decent human being. It is really good he has strong support -- his parents, Bianca, good lawyers, and likely a therapist to help him to keep his resolve. We have to keep in mind that he sees her differently from us. Like many victims of narcissists, he'll also have memories of her love bombing and Alice being fun, although there must be so many negative memories on top of it by now. Yet I believe he occasionally pities her and due to her being the mother of his daughters, he might not be as harsh to her as someone without a long-time personal connection.

What I noticed in a case of a close friend escaping an abusive relationship -- his emotions and attitude kept fluctuating. There were days when he started to feel sorry for her: she cannot help herself, she is sick, what will become of her, if I do not look after her, she needs me, and so on. Making excuses for her violence and abuse.
Also, when one is a decent human being, one cannot quite understand how someone can be so cruel, manipulative, and incapable of love, and as all humans do to some extent, they project their own feelings onto them and attribute to them good qualities that the narcissist can never possess.
The trap of having too much empathy.

Also, Ioan has another huge vulnerability, his Achilles' heel so to speak. He truly loves his daughters. (Someone once posted in these threads a photo of Ioan holding a baby daughter in his arms and the love was tangible from the tender way he held the girl to his face which was lit up). So he would do everything possible to avoid hurting them and unlike Alice, he would not use his daughters as pawns or props.

I’d be more worried about norovirus, frankly. People are *dirty*. A large percentage don’t wash their hands after using the lavatory. Hurling your guts out multiple times a day for up to a week while stuck in a small cabin sounds like *my* idea of hell - but then, I’m an emetophobe… it could, on the other hand, be incredibly romantic.

I really can't picture what happens when she moves out. Like I know she has to eventually but I just have no faith in her ability to actually find somewhere else to live. She's just going to end up with a friend "temporarily" I'd guess. The girls might find wherever they go a bit grim and might enjoy the stability of their weeks in their dad's place 🤞🏻
