Look, it’s great that she’s donated some money and made 2 lists, reposted some stuff, but if anyone needs to go to a white influencer to figure out how to be anti-racist, then humans are even further up tit creek than originally thought. The fact that her first BLM post was taken from white as all get out Liv Purvis should speak volumes. That’s not “trying”, that’s lazy and performative. Their “subject matter expert” narrative is lessening and drowning out the words and writings of actual activists and thinkers.

I use Lightroom and photoshop every day and would never drop a dime on these presets. They’re for like a super lazy person - and even still, VSCO and other presets are about a 10th of the price for the same effect.

But these must be LUXE presets. Right? Did I miss the Balenciaga logo??

And from the looks of it —- not many are buying in. The hashtag just has these two douchebags.

Sorry I don't believe for 1 second that this has taken 3 years. Alex is a very talented photographer/photo editor and could have thrown these together in 3 weeks. I think this is another way of clawing some cash back now that she's said she's going to be careful which brands she agrees to work with.

I'm so sad, I'm a sixth form teacher and when I was scrolling through her comments, spotted the account of one of the brightest and best kids I've ever taught (distinctive name, I'm not friends with them on social media or anything!) FAWNING over frow

Feeling like I need to do some expose lessons when we go back do my duty and try and enlighten some more of the YOOF

This is really sad. I also wonder if there are lots of young easily influenced girls who no longer desire a proper job, an honest days pay for an honest days work, because they see influencers being "girl bosses" and getting a lot of reward for just fooling about on Instagram

I wish there was a way to make the fact that she’s deleting comments seen by the bigger more ‘ethical’ bloggers because it’s so unacceptable. I wish she could be ‘cancelled’ like Hannah Gale.

Her blog post is terrible- I’m assuming it’s just poor writing but it’s totally othering to black people. Basically the way she uses “we” presents it as white people have started tge protests and are going to save black people.

Or even better "these were made for me so I appreciate the feedback and it's something we'll definitely try to take into account in the future when we're developing products. In the meantime [NON-WHITE INFLUENCER] has a great set of pre-sets which might work better for POC".

Was actually a bit sad to unfollow though, have supported for years. But endless ads that are clearly disingenuous and then the handling of the BLM movement has just been too much.
