Not watched anything of hers in ages but was curious about the flat.

I thought she'd been doing beauty stuff for years. But that Eborian right at the start. Several shades lighter than her face and she piled on far too much. It looked awful and almost gave her a blue/yellow tinge. For an paid advert it was pathetic

Yep!! Genuinely only thought she’d consider Castlefields as she’s so snooty. I was genuinely surprised at the location of the flat.

She has arrived in NYC and staying at a Brooklyn hotel. I might be wrong cos I have never been to nyc, but would that be too far from the few shows she is actually invited to?
Especially given her less than spectacular records of being punctual, and being prone to blame everyone but herself…

NYFW is a mess these days with shows taking place in every borough. Long gone are the days of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Bryant Park. But yes, she probably isn’t very well located (but beggars can’t be choosers when you’ve probably emailed every hotel for a free stay). Lord knows she won’t be taking the subway to shows and NYC traffic is worse than Paris.

The location isn't rough. I work with someone who lives there now and I lived there years ago. Different times! It's been gentrified. I go to all the craft beer taprooms there regularly and it's really trendy.

Some streets still have prostitutes on round there but that actual road is fine - tbf it was fine for me in terms of personal safety even years back as I used to walk home to Thomas Telford Basin after a night out... The ladies of the night were usually huddled around looking very cold and would nod at me as I staggered past!

It’s so sad how irrelevant it has become in big designer spaces but maybe it’s good for budding talent. I had such fun in my twenties going to the parties. It was such a scene. Now blah.

Just read that the majority of the larger shows will be held at Spring Studios in DOWNTOWN MANHATTTAN, so staying in Brooklyn is definitely not a brilliant idea for someone who is so, shall we say, time challenged - not with gridlocked New York traffic and construction projects everywhere.

And why does she pick NYFW, the least prestigious of all the fashion weeks anyway? Surely she could wrangle up something minor in at least London?

Yeah, I wouldn’t stay in Brooklyn when my obligations were mostly downtown Manhattan. I’d be a nervous wreck about arriving on time, but I care about not being late…

Don’t you remember? She had all her little influencer friends round for dinner at some event space. Her BFF Sue also wore V&R couture and they all re-created that ridiculous ladder photo!
