But my point is that she regularly does styling videos, catagorising each with a hypothetical occasion or location you may wear such an outfit. but nothing she recommends (clothing wise) is universally appropriate for other women. There is no expertise without recommending plus size alternatives, short or tall, apple pear hourglass figure alternatives..

To be honest I think it would not be received well if she, as a very thin white woman, began advising what plus sized or curvy women could and should wear. Or what do you guys think? I feel like she'd have to be very careful and at the same time it would lack practical examples unless she'd have like actual plus models to dress. Even then I'd rather watch an actual stylist who has training or experience of styling women of different sizes and shapes.

She really values brands over anything else doesn't she?
Just saying you can buy items from resellers like vestiaire isn't helpful in my opinion... Where should they start? What materials should they look for? How can they tell if a piece is worth investing in?
Or should they just follow her lead and get anything with a visible logo even if it clashes with existing pieces in their wardrobe.

I thought exactly the same! I’ve looked on Vestiaire quite a lot and can’t believe how much a lot of the second hand tit costs just because it’s designer. Some of it isn’t even in good condition. A better answer would be to shop in charity shops lol

Also I didn't think they necessarily meant 'designer wardrobe' they said 'great wardrobe' which I read as nice collection of clothes.

It puts it in perspective when the first shoes cost about what I earn in a month 😂 It did seem rather awkward and I don't care about 20% off it is STILL a grand (People who can afford a grand on shoes generally are not going to care about 20% off to make them buy them, if they like them they will spend that kind of money regardless) , her friend was right, how many times are you going to wear shows like that! :ROFLMAO:

I would never spend a grand on shoes because I've got better things to spend a grand on tbh, however I do like fashion and high end stuff but for me, when spending that much money it needs to be something timeless, classic and that I'm absolutely going to get my money's worth out of and get good cost per wear from! She's completely out of touch nowadays and that question just totally went over her head!

Is this the vest she said it the video was too wide and wasn’t even going to try on? (Yep, I hate watched the whole thing….)

As a plus size woman, I NEVER FOLLOWED these crappy influencer's advice on what women like myself wear. We all have things to hide, arms, love handles and all that extra fat we still have.

We also have different body shapes, like myself who has a bigger stomach area up to my thighs. My best friend has a bigger upper torso. We wear clothes differently, she loves her bodycon dresses while I love a straight cut dress.

And also the fact that gives advice on how to spend your hard-earned money is hypocritical, this girl can't go anywhere unless it's free.

LOL don’t get me started on that bleeping Q&A in her stories yesterday.

When someone asks you for affordable fashion… and she points them to a secondhand bin for flashy labels. I think she genuinely thinks that’s what people like… no. I wear designer clothing often, not that anyone would know because I don’t get HUGE logos everywhere.

The makeup look from Dior was also bleeping awful. And as for her on her peleton, she isn’t even working out!!! She just looks like a bleeping idiot

I’m plus. She’s not a professional stylist. She can barely dress for her own skinny frame. My first thought if she were to start talking about plus size and aff linking is she’s just trying to get more money. And anyway, the brands she partners with don’t do plus sizes.

If she had taken some time and perhaps done a set of stories with the plus HC model talking through the fit of the blazers on a curvier shape, maybe I would have respected her more. But that model was a UK14 at most, so definitely not plus, just curvier than Vic.
