Probably an unpopular opinion. But I don't get why so many in camp are annoyed by not perfect washing up. A tiny bit of food drying on won't cause issues or attract anything. It's nothing compared to the stuff that no doubt enters their bodies during challenges.

In general damp cloths and tea towels are the worst for breeding harmful bacteria. But washing up dries very quickly and doesn't give much of a chance for anything to grow.

Josie's ex fiance says she brandished a machete during row. Coke granny's flat

I think it's to do with food waste attracting rats and other things that will scavenge the scraps

Scraps dropped around camp might do, but the tiniest little bit left on a tin after washing up that's packed away I don't think would.

Sorry but Fred's bit of a prick, I can understand Josie being off with him, he's no need to constantly watch them cook and give the evil judgemental eye, I'm sure in past shows the main cook would just sit back and be humble offering advice, Fred comes across angry and very controlling.
They all sit round the camp fire watching them cook though 🤣

I know Fred comes across as controlling regarding the cooking but I can see why he finds it infuriating.
I’m sure if they were guaranteed 3 square meals a day he’d just let them get on with it but he knows if they don’t get many stars on the next trial, then that food may be their only decent meal for a few days so he can’t bear to see it ruined and possibly be inedible.
I’m not a Fred fan at all but I can understand his thought process here.
Personally I think he should let them mess it up and then see how they all feel when they are hungry.

For me it's not just the rats etc. it's about the cutlery not being clean. It's different when you are at home but when you are sharing with 10/11 other people and the cups, forks and spoons that end up in peoples mouths aren't cleaned properly you can pick up cold sores etc. plus the chopping boards that have raw meat on it (chicken especially) if that isn't cleaned properly you are going to end up with food poisoning, especially if the meat isn't cooked through properly afterwards.

Yes totally, it's like how I feel when any other member of my family cooks dinner 😆
You have to let them try and learn but I always know that I could have done a better job.
I'm not living in a jungle though so if the dinner's awful I can get myself something else 😃

I think what would get to me if I were Fred would be the 'wow best rice yet' (Danielle 🙄) 'best meal yet' comments. Seem just plain spiteful tbh. Even if they said 'another lovely meal' it would be better.
And as for lazy article Nella just staying in the hut thing. So glad she's doing the trial 😂

Am glad Josie’s ex sold his story to the Sunday Rags, timing is Bob on! Hopefully ITV’s agenda to push her as golden girl will fail!!

am caught up now and I am THRILLED Lazy Arse Nella has to do the BT and Josie was nearly up for it. The public don’t like them!!!

3 campmates voted for Nella for some bizarre reason but the public majority matter! LOL her face is awesome! 8 BTs? So effing what it’s what she signed up for. Some of the BTs were all campmates anyhow.

“karma is a bitch” is it Nella?

Lazy Nella, Mucky Josie, Fickle Danielle. 3 Mean Girls. All horrid and I hope they suffer their last days in camp.

I felt really sorry for Fred when those remarks were made. It must have been deeply hurtful to him. OK I realise that he is rather controlling and arrogant sometimes but he thought that he was doing everyone a favour by cooking and put in the work. To have twats then claim that someone else has made better food was rather nasty in my view.

I think I'm going to vote for Fred now because of this.

Fred should have backed off during the cooking. Should have said I am here if you need me and got out of the way. Sitting there like an old woman bitching from the sidelines just made him look bitter. I suppose when you are in that cramped environment, out of your comfort zone, you cling on to anything, and become territorial. I think he will cringe when he comes out and sees it played back. I wonder how many times he says to his fiancé, Non Fruitcake, not like that! He is a grown man. He won’t have hurt feelings because they preferred Josie’s rice.
