Pleased Nella is doing the trial.

Why did Marvin vote for her? Ugh.
I would like to see Nella evicted first followed by Josie. Then a flailing Mean Girl Danielle.

Nella needs a clear message that how she behaves is abhorrent. No matter her size age or colour she is horrible. Of course Josie gravitates to Nella because Josie is equally lazy and condescending. Danielle is thick but happy to hang out with other Mean Girls.

Happy if Sam Nick Tony or Frankie win they all seem decent.

Nigel and Fred are marmite but Nigel is always kind of polite and astute. Fred is very French but he has a good heart.
Love the 'but' in your last sentence 🙃 🐸🇨🇵

I haven't watched IMAC for several years but I'm giving it another go and am surprised at how much it seems to have changed. I get the impression that the producers have run out of ideas and are simply coasting along on the same old same old, which requires the minimum amount of effort and imagination on their part.
The Trials were usually done solo, not in pairs or groups, and each was different. Now they seem to consist of putting the contestants in an uncomfortable location and showering them with an assortment of 'crittas'. We saw more of the personal interaction, not just the bitching and squabbles. The 'luxuries' were better - perhaps a slap-up meal or a letter from home. Nobody was allowed to opt out of trials simply on a whim, as appears to be happening with Nella. I'd heard of more than half the contestants (or perhaps that's just me!)

I'm looking forward to Tony finally losing patience with Sam and decking him!!

I find Fred condescending. Likes his opinion, likes sound of his own voice. When he was having his rant at Nigel about Brexit he would not let Nigel answer, just talked over him. When Josie was cooking he and Nigel look like the two old fella muppet characters critiquing from the sideline. He clearly thinks he is fabulously attractive too. Sick of seeing his chest. And other body parts. When he is on that other egothon show he does with Gino and Gordon he can’t wait to parade in his budgie smugglers.

Fred IS condescending, but he’s not wrong about the cleanliness, and the likelihood of anyone else knowing how to prepare and cook an eel was zero.
But if he’d said nothing, the mean girls would have bitched that he hadn’t offered advice on the eel and would have blamed him for a disastrous meal.
The irony of Josie moaning to Nella in the van that all she wanted to do was get on with the cooking while she should have been doing the cooking. Lazy fucker.

I’m still commenting from the sidelines so I’ve not really seen how this is playing out, but I can understand if Fred is annoyed about being pettily replaced as cook.
I kind of like him for the enthusiasm he has for life and for meeting people.
But he definitely rates himself - his body anyway; he can’t wait to display it and show off how he works out 😂

Sorry but Fred's bit of a prick, I can understand Josie being off with him, he's no need to constantly watch them cook and give the evil judgemental eye, I'm sure in past shows the main cook would just sit back and be humble offering advice, Fred comes across angry and very controlling.
Is he supposed to go off somewhere else then?
They all sit around watching the cooking as there's not a lot else to do.
.......
How is Nigel managing his smoking habit? He apparently smokes a pack a day doesn't he and there's no way he's gone cold turkey in the jungle. He must be smoking secretly somewhere off screen.

It's a French trait - confident and direct

Josie needs to listen to him when it comes to the cooking. He has experience in it. It seems like she switches off when he tries to give her advice on what to do.

Makes no sense why she can't just put her ego aside and accept that it's fine to take on advice when it comes to cooking in that jungle.

She even said herself that her cooking didn't taste that good and the fellow campmates are probably being nice.

I think I read the producers agreeing he could have 10 (I think???) fags a day was one of his conditions to do IAC. Wonder how he managed on the flight?

I'm a bit sad they're not showing more of Frankie for whatever reason. He has such a larger than life personality usually and it just isn't coming across. Not that the loud ones should get all the attention but sadly they do.

I read that the smokers are allowed a smoking area away from camp and cameras. Just like in BB
