I mean that if Hancock wins the backlash will be huge.

ITV trying to paint him as a victim of bullying on the nightly edit is pathetic, seems to be working though.

What does it matter if Matt is an incompetent dishonest lier, Boy George just asked him a question! How will poor Matt cope with this appalling bullying??

Are they though? Over the last few days they’ve edited it to show:
1) him not throwing away his water from shaving which makes him look like a selfish slob
2) asking for food when he had just been for a barbecue
3) putting more food in his own bowl than others when cooking
4) burning the rice
5) the bird poo incident

I think they’re actually now editing it to show him in a negative light as they’ve been taken aback by his popularity.

I think Baba will go next, and then Chris or George. Maybe Chris first but I have a feeling it’ll be Baba.

When is the final, is it Sunday? Im still calling a Mike, Jill, Owen and Matt cyclone, then Matt will go then it’ll be Mike to win from the final 3!

I LOVE Ant & Dec, I love watching their lives 😂. I think Ant is just putting on a show with the whole being manic and ‘aggressive’ as someone called it, he did it the one time and it raises a lot of laughs so he’s just carrying it on now (the calling people out for their stupid suggestions). I saw some people last night saying ‘get Queen Liz in’ and even I rolled my eyes lol

I did have an issue with it all. I suffered horribly during the pandemic and lost my Nan.

I don’t hold mh accountable for that as she was very old anyway. I think mh was part of the problem yes.

I see him as a winner (in life) and everything he does from his jungle stint. He has a lot of confidence and he excelled tasks that I couldn’t consider to do. He hasn’t argued with anyone.

I know others say it’s training but i don’t think you can train for this. I separate jungle Matt from
Outside Matt.

he deserves to win.

I can't help thinking that a lot of people are mistaking MH's own unwillingness to form connections in there (with his fellow campmates) as him being ostracised by them.

If he appears to be somewhat out on a limb then I'm sorry but, in one way or another, that's his doing.

As many have said, he has rhino skin and couldn’t give a toss whether or not his fellow celebs like him so why should we? He's there simply to do a job, not to make friends along the way, and he won't care less about finding common ground, camaraderie or the group coming together to share an intimate once in a lifetime experience and learn things about themselves/eachother.

He doesn't see himself as their equal, in any respect, and just wants to efficiently execute his gameplan with as little interaction (with the others) as possible.

He's not trying to win them over but he is strategically trying to win over the public and it suits him to be seen as poor Matt who hasn't been given a chance to show how sorry or nice he is. (And just to be clear, he's NOT sorry or nice!)
 
Sadly many of the British public are gullible. They are happy to support Hancock in his bid to make a new career in the media in the same way that they are willing to support Boris after his ineptitude, lies and deceit as they view him as a bit of a"character."

I disagree entirely. I think he’s actually socially quite awkward and you can see he talks more in small groups than he does when they’re all together.

We must be watching entirely different shows as I haven’t seen any evidence to suggest he doesn’t think the camp mates are his equal. I haven’t seen him talk down to anyone or be rude.

If it’s the case that “leopard doesn’t change its spots” then that means Sue will be cheating again and caught drunk driving again; Mike will always have a wondering eye; Boy George will attack a stranger again; Chris Moyles will avoid tax bills again; Ant McPartlin will drink and drive again….. All I m saying is I don’t like double standards. Why is it impossible to believe Matt will never change and learn from his mistakes but the rest of them have learned their lesson….

I find the opposite comes across - he walks over to others and they don’t give him a chance “because he is MH”. Even that time when he walked up to Seann and BG bitching about him… Matt looked as if he had walked over to find someone to talk to but was faced with an argument instead. Same in camp - I think people in camp are very dismissive about him.

I like him too. Yes he's a bitchy diva at times and likes to be contrary with his opinions but he's actually been better behaved than I expected in the jungle. I enjoyed the chat he was having with Jill and Seann yesterday.

I'm flabbergasted that Matt has so much support on this thread. I get that nobody likes virtue signalling and hypocrisy but George has been fairly honest and upfront from what I've seen. He's not pretending to be Matt's best buddy is he?
