You lose integrity as a working 'journalist' going onto a celebrity show anyway. You don't see the likes of Orla Guerin or Robert Peston going in.
Well said.

On her claim to be impartial, she is lying. There's been many a heated debate on LW between her and Jane Moore, Carole McGiffin and JSP where Charlene is like a dog with a bone in trying to force her opinions on others. She is why I stopped watching LW

Chris Moyles also got in trouble with Ofcom over the way he poked fun at Will Young's sexuality.

For me, what made that especially bad was the fact that Will said he thought that they were friends. With friends like that, eh?

Wasn't he also the one who kept going on about Charlotte Church reaching 16 and being 'legal'

This thread makes me wonder how people actually plump for their winner.
What's your criteria? 🤔
What matters most?
🤔

Being pleasant? - sunny disposition, positive, no moaning, well-liked by fellow campmates

Effective at tasks?

Emotionally supportive of fellow campmates - a good listening ear, giving pep talks, knowing when someone needs a hug etc

Being entertaining - lifting the mood in camp with stories/jokes/games, leading singsongs, playing pranks etc

Bringing drama - being a diva/melodramatic, arguing, bitching etc

Overcoming fears, going on the biggest 'journey' etc (sorry! 🙄)

Purely because of who/what they represent eg you're a massive fan of rugby/royal family/a particular band/TV show/political party etc

Being the underdog - are you drawn to the hopeless/useless ones who are rubbish at everything but try hard, so they get your sympathy vote?!

If you didn’t actually like a contestant's personality but you really enjoyed watching them, could they still be your winner? 🤔

If a contestant didn't get much airtime but when they were shown they were always entertaining, would they be worthy of the win? 🤔

OK so I was sooo against MH decision to be a campmate. But then I thought ... Everybody is allowed annual leave (stay with me) so he decided to take three weeks - in the jungle - on national, nay, international TV, and he gave his reasons. Surely, hopefully, he arranged for his office to deal with constituency matters during his time away. 🤔

Then he fed himself to the dogs - literally. But, he dealt with the trials, brought home the food, he cooks, laughs, sings, dances - but he's not very good at housework, as he doesn't clean up after himself. 🙄

So I find myself actually, possibly, warming to him and don't want him evicting yet. I might even go so far as to say I want him to win.

@gin&tonic I promise you, hand on heart, that I'm not after him. His grandad pants just killed that. 😅

Chris moyles is a bully though, way back in 2003 or so for months he was relentlessly bullying at the time the teenage by reffering to her as the ugly one from girls allowed.

Teenager she was 16 or 17 nicola Roberts. So he's a known bully.
Yes it was Moyles who said Nicola was 'the ugly ginger one' in Girls Aloud. That was plain nasty to a young woman.

Okay so a bit of topic...can we have I'm a celeb. Without the celebs ... a hybrid between big brother, love island and celeb with challenges. I have no doubt it would turn Lord of the flies and I'm here for it! Everyone going in ATM has a reputation to keep. Let's get us all on!

There was one. It was called Survivor and ran for two series on ITV. It was massive in the US and other countries but didn’t take off here. I’m a Celeb originally had the working title ‘Celebrity Survivor’.

Ha ha – a whole camp full of bitchy tattlers – the public would stone us to death when we got out! 🤣

I’m not sure what Mike has gained by going on the show, especially as he seems restricted in what he can say. I find him a bore and I don’t think buddying up with Sue has helped him.
Yes of we don't see more of him soon, tbh it will look like a waste of his time going in there, bar the fee. Maybe as more get voted off, if he stays and there are less people competing for air time, he'll be shown more. And like you say, the association with Sue isn't helping. With any luck she'll be voted off tonight or in the next few nights anyway.

Honestly I'd be surprised if Chris isn't voted out pretty soon. I don't think he'll last much longer. He hasn't come across well in the jungle. He was never my cup of tea, although obviously many did like him or he wouldn't have had the radio career he had. Not for me though. I preferred a gentler type of radio personality like Tony Blackburn.

The highlight of last night's show was Owen unarticulately saying a motivational quote that sounded like it was from a tea bag.

My five year old goddaughter has an age appropriate book and she's always saying motivational things from it with more conviction.

Then seann going way over the top saying how amazing and incredible it all was.

I'd love a psychologist to give an opinion of what's happening there. He's done this a few times - bizarrely praise someone over nothing.
I think it's his need to be liked. He'll go over the top praising people.

I read 27th November
Ah, so next Sunday. I have a 40th birthday party to attend next weekend and I'm very glad it's not on the same night as the final - I'd be seriously pissed off.

My husband made a good point that it could be a Hollyoaks thing, they might need his hair to look exactly the same for continuity reasons. But it still must grow fast to need it doing twice!
Well…. I get that but that would explain a weekly haircut 💇 imo. Because let’s face it - he’s been in the jungle for almost 3 weeks now (6 missed haircuts) but he literally looks the same as he did walking in…. I’m not sure why I even comment on that because I’m absolutely not bothered by him. He’s that awkward age when lads can’t figure out if they want to be a boy or a man…. The fact that all the other camp mates mollycoddling him is just pathetic. Honestly nothing against him; just witnessing his days in the jungle I’m glad I’m at that age when I never have to deal with a man-child again :D
