Spot on about Matt I hope his constituents boot him out in the next election for buggering off to be on a reality show when he's being paid to look after them. No he was not to blame for the pandemic but he did some v dodgy things. He is extremely manipulative and is being edited to came over well, he has certainly conned a lot of people on here. Maybe he is not so great to live with in the camp as he is being portrayed in the TV.
The thing in the camp he did which I didn't like is when he left his shavings in the sink and when Sue pulled him up about it, he asked why she couldn't have just gotten rid of them. It was his facial hair so he should have done it himself and that wasn't a great attitude he displayed there. Apart from that, purely in the camp, the behaviour we've seen, and I do emphasis we've seen, because we don't know any of their 24/7 behaviours due to editing, has been better than the likes of BG, for example.

Everyone complaining in camp about Matt are the same people who did absolutely nothing to help during covid. It’s easy for people to sit and witch about how they would do something different or how they don’t agree with decisions that were made and add nothing to society themselves. When are they going to discuss Sues drink driving or the fact that Mike seems perfectly comfortable to continue to be around a family member who had links to Epstein?!
I’m sick of talking about covid and people thinking that gives them the right to witch about someone behind their back and treat them poorly. As others have said other ever country dealt with The same thing, the difference being we just have to find a scape goat to put all of the blame on, when as educated people we know full well it’s not so black and white, as do the camp mates, they are doing it and continuously talking about it because they think it’s what will make them popular when they get out.

Matt Hancock has done a lot of tit things even if you take covid/the PPE/care homes out of the equation. Hell, if you just look at his voting history you can see that he’s not a good person. I can’t believe people think he’s a genuine nice guy 🤡

I think his true character popped up in the shaving episode. Sue was right to.pull him up in it but the mask slipped there we saw the real Matt.

Why don't we just send the whole of Boris's Pandemic Cabinet and hangers on into the Jungle and leave the there? No stars, basic rations. We can send in video clips and letters so they have no distraction and choice but to hear the impact of their behaviours. Behaviours, might I say continue now if the whole PM leadership farce is anything to go by.
Excellent idea but the great British public 🙄 would start feeling sorry for them and say what lovely people they all are.

Regardless its not him doing the bitching and sniping they are, they are showing the public who they are with zero help from matt Hancock. And as. I stated I have every right to hate him, anyone who has worked in a care home during the pandemic will know the feelings I had. Telling people with dementia that their family members were on holiday and see them soon. The keeping them apart which was difficult as some liked to wander, it was like being part of the gestapo, telling them to stay away from each other, the only human interaction they had was staff behind masks, so you had them scared stiff. it's the only way I can look at it, it was bleeping heartbreaking.

That's a good point.

Somewhat understandably, many people seem to be jumping to the conclusion that a lot of the campmates are purely harbouring grudges based on preconceptions (re Covid) and that's the reason they're not warming to MH.....

....but he's shown selfish, inconsiderate behaviour - leaving his crap in the washbowl, more than once (and getting all funny when he was called out for it), asking for veg when he's just come back from stuffing his face and most of his campmates were relatively hungry, giving himself 2 bones at dinner last night when there weren't enough to go around and at least one other person had none...etc..

Those things might sound trivial but, when living in such close quarters, that's the kind of stuff that causes tension in any series, regardless of who's there.

Matt's response about the shaving foam was arrogant. He should have apologised and just gone and emptied it. Why is it for Sue to do? I don't blame her for snapping back at him on that.
Yes Mike was exactly right when Matt said it’s really easy to empty - why couldn’t he do it himself then? No need for Sue to have to clear up after him, especially as it was the second time it’s happened in two weeks.

Wasn’t the two bones thing Mike? I get confused sometimes because the names are so similar but I swear it was him bc I remember thinking it’s out of character for him.

The ‘celebs’ in there…..if we can even call them that think it will make them ‘more popular’ with the general public if they dislike Matt and are mean to him. All they care about is how they look to the public…..hilariously it seems to have backfired on them and most will be voted off before Matt back to their irrelevant careers.
They keep yapping on about Matt reminding everyone of his sins and how they disapprove of him… very convenient as Matts sins are out in the public domain…. Matt not being regretful or remorseful or whatever bullshit people are spouting.., how do we know the others are squeeky clean in their private/ public dealings… their lockdown behaviours were pristine??? Should Matt flog himself several times a day to make those sanctimonious celebs feel better…. He is a quiet character , has his personality changed ?he was never a Trump or Boris character was he?

You know the celebs remind me of a situation with my nephews… my sis has 4 boys and very stuck in their personal lives … Nephew 3 is her informer… squeals on number 2 ( the wild one) I asked him once why does he tell his mum about 2 and he said “ When she is watching him she doesn’t see me” Celebs talking about Matt is keeping their stuff unspoken about perhaps…

I do think it was very selfish of her. I would also not like to sleep there due to being enclosed with spiders, but I’d do it anyway to free up more comfortable beds for the others. Obviously we know now, as suspected, that it was for another reason.

I thought she was talking about herself when she made the sleep comment.

I clearly missed an episode, I thought when she wasn't sleeping in the RV that someone else would, so they had to make room for her even though she had a bed? Jaysis, I wasn't a fan anyway but that is low

If BG was out the camp would be lame and boring.

He can rant at Matt, Matt isn’t phased by it, he has had worse in parliament and he doesn’t understand vitriol.

BG has always been anti-establishment, and I think he welcomes the opportunity to cross-examine Matt.

Yeah but didn't like being cross examined himself

I don’t think that’s what exactly what happened, and I think he’d still be with her if the affair with Gina hadn’t been exposed in the way it was. But certainly her connections helped him get on. I also think given the way Gina clings to him like a limpet and appears to go everywhere he does (she even hiked Mont Blanc with him and looked bloody miserable and in pain throughout) that she knows she can’t trust him as far as she could throw him. I will be amazed if the relationship goes the distance but at the moment they are both making the most of a bad situation.
She sounds similar to the limpet Carrie Johnson.

I like Mike I think what you see is what you get.
I thought so too but there's been a shift either in his behaviour or the editing since the beginning. Boring.

Sue was right when she said we don’t really get to see who Matt is. I think Sue is quite sharp tbh and I like her for it.

I think he’s hard to read in general, like we still don’t really know much about his personal life etc. eg about his schooling, his kids, what jobs he’s had before, what tv shows he likes, all the normal things really. Never mind the difficult stuff! I understand he doesn’t want to tell people things that could be twisted but there must be some things that he can talk about about his life that aren’t controversial. Not to beat a dead horse but it would be nice to hear him talk about dyslexia!!!!!!

Hes unflappable but almost too much so, to the point he feels a bit unknowable. He’s always stumbled with how he appears on camera imo. I feel like it’s happening here - he knows how to play the game technically but he’s not managing how he comes across on a personal level very well (it’s not terrible just not great). let’s face it he’s had several highly-publicised awkward moments (staring, bundagate, being boyed off by rishi sunak, being seen to run away from the press) - Boris has had more affairs than wives and yet we’ve never seen him snapped in the act afaik.

Maybe he just doesn’t want to tell people about his personal life? Some people are just private and don’t like sharing that kind of information with people they don’t know and aren’t very close to. But then Sue also knew he’d been an economist before he was an MP so he must have told them that much at least.
